What the club says: Our 18 hole, Par 71 (SS 71), golf course in Suffolk is generally regarded as an enjoyable yet stern test of golf. This is testified to by the players involved with the prestigious events held here such as the PGA Europro Tour as televised on Sky Sports, and the Best Western Senior Masters.
There is a good selection of short technical and longer holes which circle our central 5 acre conservation area. Water comes into play on 12 of the holes and the risk verses reward debate on each hole makes it particularly popular with more discerning golfers.

Nice courseThe odd rough edge and would be nice to see bunkers raked, even if rakes not provided. £20 for residents but £39 for visitors

Challenging trackUfford Park is a well laid-out course with lots of water (12 holes out of 18) and challenging slopes. I found the front 9 significantly harder than the back 9 - I was out in 64 and back in 42 - perhaps not surprising as the second 9 is much shorter. Course in ok condition but a bit wet. Greens had just had fertiliser beads applied which made them a bit of a lottery. Would play again but would be better in spring/summer.

Not in the summerIn summer the fairways are terrible, bunkers not raked the morning we played. Greens good.

A good course spoiled by walkersI have played this course lots of the years and as a test of golf it is great with some tricky greens to overcome once you reach them. However, the one real downside is that this course is on public land and therefore there are people lurking on nearly every hole. On the 2nd tee, I had just started my takeaway when someone starting walking across my path. The best bit was I didn't even get a thank you for stopping. You'll enjoy your golf, you won't enjoy having to wait for members of the public who don't have the same etiquette towards you as you do them.

We will return. Great course and facilitiesConsidering the amount of rain we have had over the winter and especially the last month, the course was in really good condition and a credit to the green keeping staff. We enjoyed the layout and the challenge presented by a challenging, but fair design. The welcome in the pro shop was friendly and the pre round breakfast bap is recommended. All in all, an enjoyable day's golf and we may well be back in the future to try out the hotel and golf deals on offer.
Good conditioned course, harsh weatherConsidering the time of year, the course was in very good condition. Unfortunately late winter gales and rain made it a challenge.

Some fun holes
Great course shame about breakfastSorry breakfast was appalling, cold burnt and overpriced
UnderwhelmingSome picturesque short holes but also some rather non- descript holes. A rather cramped layout in parts. Avoid Tuesday morning as this is the men’s club day which was very slow. Greens were true but slow. Many of the fairways were suffering from lack of water and in mediocre condition. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. The course is part of a major leisure centre and the bars and eating facilities are common to both.
