Nice course,The owners ruin it by taking sand traps along the course to speed up play.Weekends ???forget it,6 hours a round of golf?that is the norm here. The green are great. The club house it's bad, toilets are disgusting, shame really,it could be a lovely place but it's not.

We (3 ball) hired a buggy, which at first was a dilemma as it was covered in dust and the fellow in the booth thought was normal. Sorry, I expect a clean buggy and if I get my clothes, dirty whilst playing my round so it be. Then the second dilemma came when it broke down on the first green. We rang through to the pro shop who told us someone was on there way. Having been waiting for 10mins we had to let a four ball through. (BIG MISTAKE)

Anyway, we rang the pro shop to remind them that we were still waiting and were told that it will be at least 30mins before we get one. Therefore, we thought lets play on and we will get one during the round. Off we went to the second tee and awaited for the 4 ball we let through hit their second shots. Next came a two ball, which we thought we let them through, as they were members, good and fast players. So they said and after watching their tee shots, I agree.

When we did start getting into a roll the two ball in front of us were let through by the four ball. After that 5th hole, the whole round was crap and we were waiting and waiting and waiting on ever hole for the four ball. They were slow. So slow that we had a 2 ball and a three ball which had caught up to us at the 15th. These guys were arrogant had no respect for the game and just carried on for a 5+ hrs round. THIS IS NOT ON. SLOW PLAY IS RENOWNED ON THIS COURSE.

When we got back I asked why there was no marshal on the course monitoring slow play, I was told he only works weekends. Therefore, the best time to play is Monday to Thursday. We played on a Friday.

There you have it my personal experience. The course is great and would love to be able to appreciate it but some people just ruin it for other as they have no golf etiquette.

Overall rating sorry poor as the club lacks commitment to players during the weekdays.

I rate the course overall very good
Club facilities are good, since they are refurbishing the clubhouse.

Poor state

Played 26 April. This course does have great potential BUT currently is in poor condition. There has been some cutting although cut grass is strewn over the fairways so that you often can’t find the ball. The rough is too long and again likely to lose the ball, bunkers compacted. Greens are very poor patchy and mostly moss. No consistent roll, worst state I’ve seen them in last few years by far. It’s not really playable, maybe practice? Shame to see it. Needs some investment. Did not see any ground staff during my visit.Very few people playing, self fulfilling failure.

No upkeep.

A good course spoilt by lack of upkeep, fairways like rough, rough like St Andrews and tees with grass two inches long. How can you loose a ball in the middle of the fairway? Well we both did on different holes. It used to be a pleasure to play there but it will be a long time before I return.

Very poor condition

The greens were in poor condition, the fairways were like rough, the rough was 6 inches to a foot deep. How can you loose balls in the middle of the fairway? The course is in the worst state I have ever seen it. When we told the gue in the booking office all he said was "oh a lot of people have said that". We won't be going back any time soon.

Winter conditions of this course is not the best but it is a public course and very reasonable prices. Greens are pretty good it's down fall is the T Boxes none and flat level the ball is likely above or below your feet or your foots in a hole

Okay public course

The rough is very rough and the greens are inconsistent. Some of the sand in the bunkers is rock hard though others seem to have been improved with newer sand that plays okay.
