Great Course
This is a great golf course from start to finish. There's plenty of trouble if you're not thinking your way round. Needs at least one visit. The greens are fabulously quick and true even in Feb.Reviewer Rating

Excellent Course
Thorpeness is a joy to play.It can be tight and tricky off the tee - this is due to the fact that the fairways are mostly lined with heather and gorse. Even a lower handicap player can expect to lose a ball or 2 here.
The layout is stunning and some of the most spectacular golf holes for miles.
Due to the nature of the course its very dry in winter months and provides a good option for those looking to avoid wetter courses.
I would 100% go back over and over again.

Fabulous
Weekend golf break and I can't fault the place. The welcome is very warm, the service is excellent and the course is more than a little bit special. Can see why it's rated 83 / 100 in England. The course starts very gently with a short par four and a gentle par three, then it gets very interesting, winding it's way through the natural contours of the country side. There are some very long par fours to negotiate but get the right lines and a run and these can be mastered. Only two par fives but both offer good birdie chances.

Great course and I?ll return
We played Thorpeness as part of a Golfbreaks deal and I?d recommend it. The course isn't too long, has some tricky greens and there are a lot of bunkers to negotiate. The only negative I had was the course had a few too many rabbits but that's not enough to stop me returning. Considering the weather we?d had, it was dry underfoot. I can see why it's in the top 100 in England and would like to play it in the summer when the greens will be faster and the slopes will need to be correctly read. The hotel was good, food was excellent and service prompt. It's true the hotel could do with refurbishment but I'm not there for more than sleepReviewer Rating

Stunning Mature Heathland Cpurse
Course in fantastic condition - soaked up the recent heavy rain very well. Great winter courseSome tee shots feel tight and demanding and the gorse and Heather will really grow up and out in the summer.
Layout is spot on with some very picturesque tee shots and approach shots.
Course anyone can enjoy however higher handicapper that may be wayward off the tee may need to take a few extra balls but would still enjoy.
Staff super friendly and bar menu afterward was refreshingly priced and food was spot on!
