Awful greens
The greens are just awful, the ball would roll smoother in the gravel car park. Nice layout but the greens just ruin it.Reviewer Rating

Getting back on its feet
This course is slowly getting back on its feet after a few years of neglect. Some of the old bunkers are being grassed over and others in better condition.
Greens were good considering it's winter ,a bit bobly.
Prices in the bar and shop are a bit steep ,beware

The Hampshire GC. Worth a visit
End of November meet up, so wasn't sure on how the course would be playing, but as the course is built on a chalk base, the playing conditions of the fairways and greens were excellent for this time of year. A few tee boxes could do with some work though. The course itself is a very good challenge and well designed, with some spectacular views form the highest points on the course. A couple of major disappointments was the bunkers had virtually no sand and were overgrown with weeds, etc, so were all really GUR and surprisingly there was no food available as the kitchen was closed, as the chef only works at weekends and the bar was also shut, so no after round drinks available. The Hampshire has so much going for it, but isn't capturing it's full potential during the week. The course would be full of societies and generating a great reputation if they put the social aspects of golf to a much better use, which would generate extra income, that it can then invest in the course. Worth a visit just to experience the course and views.Reviewer Rating
