Course not great. Divots on all tees. Fairways a lot of divot marks. Greens are in a dreadful state weeds all over them, clearly not getting cut every other day. No marshalling. Clubhouse below average pro shop hardly stocked with clothing all special order apparently. No greenkeepers to be seen throughout our round their 5 hours.

Course below average for what it was 4 years ago. Could be a gem but unfortunately it seems to be getting worse.

Poor all round

This course is so under invested in…

1. No sand in the bunkers, and weeds growing them.
2. The website talks about dress code and standards - yet they let anyone on with t shirts and trainers.
3. The speed of play is awful 2.5 hours for the front 9 - not a Marshall to be seen!
4. The fairway is bare and is in need of watering.
5. The clubhouse is simply odd - loud music is playing and it feels like you’re in the local beefeater.

This course would be better if just becoming the local municipal, we won’t be returning - I would suggest any other course in the region.

No sand in bunkers, have been told these have been out of play since first lockdown ????.Would of liked a pint after but had to settle on bottled beer. No green keepers to be seen throughout our round I guess that explains the course state.

Awful greens

The greens are just awful, the ball would roll smoother in the gravel car park. Nice layout but the greens just ruin it.

At first glance the course looks nice, decent car park and a good looking clubhouse and that’s where it ends. I arrived at 5:10 and waited 10 minutes for the shop assistant to arrive. I asked for a tee time and was told the course would be closed at 8:30. I paid £18 for twilight golf, I also asked if I could have tap water in my bottle (there was a tap on the sink in the room to the left of the shop) I was told to use the spider web and bug ridden tap outside (must be the southern hospitality). The fairways are wide and as it has been dry and sunny my drive went a good distance. I played the 1-12 and 17 and 18 as it 7:15 by then and I didn’t want to be locked in. As I came off the 12th hole there were people playing the 1st green?? Some of the greens have raised cracks, so you can’t putt on them. Two of the greens have holes like someone had dug a hole to plant a bulb (a hole the size of your fist) and some of the greens have ants and holes and they all have pitch marks everywhere I have photos. The course is so dry that one spark could set off a wild fire that would consume the whole course. I hit a drive on the 3rd and it goes slightly downhill after 150 yards, my drive went 300 yards (never done that in my life) but the ground was so hard. The worst course I’ve ever played and I’ve played courses in council estates in the north of England that are looked after better than this. £18. Don’t wast your time or your money.

Reading the recent reviews I was optimistic about visiting but the last two were positive so thought I’d give it a go. Well the most recent reviews couldn’t of been further off. Greens are shocking covered in brown patches, Tees in a bad condition considering the weather. Club house staff are very short and moody. I did ask about getting a refund but was told nope sorry you have played the course and your damage needs to be repaired. Sign inside pro shop saying a waiting list for a membership I’m calling bull**** ???? . Don’t waste your money PLEASE

Having lived in Andover for 40 years and being a member at Leckford golf course i thought I would try out the Hampshire. Well what can I say about this place thier is major problem with lack of funding being spent out on the course. The greens especially the putting green seems to be suffering with a lot of brown patches and to be honest the majority of the greens seem to be damaged by patches, flags haven’t been moved as their is a lot of wear around the holes. One thing that has changed is the new signs around the course do look very smart and clearly direct you to the tees. Fairways do have alot of divots in places that could of been filled in but that’s just nit picking. Ruff around the banks of some of the greens is crying out for a cut EG 11th hole and the 5th. This could be thriving course but unfortunately I can see this place closing unless something dramatic changes. Can’t comment of the club house as never entered but was greeted by a gentleman outside the pro shop who seemed to not have any interest in helping us out. Pace of play was good but their was only about 6 cars in the car park.

Went to play the academy course. The academy course is in a shocking state I’ve never seen a academy course like this.I cannot comment on the manor course but speaking to my friends who do play the manor have said it below average for this type of course I would not recommend this golf course to anyone let alone play this again.
