Reading the recent reviews I was optimistic about visiting but the last two were positive so thought I’d give it a go. Well the most recent reviews couldn’t of been further off. Greens are shocking covered in brown patches, Tees in a bad condition considering the weather. Club house staff are very short and moody. I did ask about getting a refund but was told nope sorry you have played the course and your damage needs to be repaired. Sign inside pro shop saying a waiting list for a membership I’m calling bull**** ???? . Don’t waste your money PLEASEReviewer Rating

Good course and a lot variety

Don’t be put off by the reviews
Really enjoyed our round here today. The staff were welcoming and conscientious, offering free cold, bottled water to all players as it was so hot. The course has the most fantastic views and some absolutely superb tee shot holes. The bunkers are all GUR because of covid (you can’t use shared rakes anywhere) so ignore all the gripes about them being unplayable as this is good diligence. The greens and teeboxes are fine. It’s not Augusta but they’re perfectly playable and by far not the worst I’ve seen. For the price they are charging it’s incredible value, and we’ll be back.Reviewer Rating

Good challenging course, shame the greens were very poor. Recently hollow tined and not recovered very well. Also a problem with groups not allowing players through, so extremely slow play in places. However overall a good experience.

Below average
Course could be lovely but isn’t. Bunkers haven’t been raked in months weeds and stones in all of them Greens still had dew on them running very slow Rude man behind pro shop till swearing a lot. Driving range okay.Reviewer Rating

Best course in hampshire
If you haven't tried the Hampshire you have missed out.The course is in beautiful condition all year around even in the heart of winter the fairway have twenty yards of run, plenty of fluffy grass and the greens are fast and true.
The rough isn't punishing and there?s plenty of feature holes in this lovely course.
?22 on a Saturday morning is cheaper than 99% of its competitors and it's in better condition.
Breakfast is just alright but the people are lovely.

Shocking Greens
This is our go to winter course and have really enjoyed over the last couple of years. Great layout and drains really well. However we won’t be returning this winter as the greens were in a right state. Pitch marks everywhere and dissed grass in other’s areas. A lot of he greens had GUR areas marked off! Oh also may be time to invest in some range balls charging for those is a disgrace.Reviewer Rating

All year course
This is my go to winter course, seems to play the same in January as it does in June. I prefer other ?summer? courses but it's hard to beat this place in the wetter winter months. Some challenging holes and usually good pace of play. One downside is the course bunkers, think they are slowly improving but full of rocks and awful sand (suppose the answer is don't go into them!).Reviewer Rating

I played here on 20th July 2018.
A couple of years ago I played this course. The greens were dying. We were losing balls in the fairway because they had not been cut. I was very reluctant to play here again.
I played yesterday. The greens were fantastic and despite the very dry weather we have had were well watered and had been properly looked after. The firways were dry but no worse than any othr course I have played recently and looked well tended.
There was adefinite feel from the moment I arrived at the course that money was being spent and improvements were being made. From the club house to the course.
Really super. Great value. I will be back next year. (Oh. There is no sand in the bunker on the 14th - but that is my fault for not playing it properly. How many courses have great bunkers?)
