Course is pretty poor. The greens have got lots of areas of bare earth. It may be that this is a work in progress and I don't think they have the resources of other clubs. The fairways were tight and the ball just flies.
That said. Lots of people playing. They have an academy course and I could see people playing with children on it. I have been quite a few times and I've seen it in worse condition.
£18? Its a not a lot. Hope they are going in the right direction. I would go again next year, but I will keep an on reviews.
All that apart. We had an unpleasant experience with some members who seemed to think they had a priviliged status. They also became quite aggressive when challenged over a ball which ended up under one of my companions trolleys. Doesn't really help, does it?

Hopefully improving
We've been visiting The Hampshire for about 7 years now and its a nice well draining and challenging course. Over the last few years though the course has been in decline and we stopped going for a while as the greens were pretty bad. With new owners it seems to improved slightly and the greens are better.Reviewer Rating

after 7 years of not playing there dicided it was time to go back so book a tee and went with a friend who had never played there,
I had been looking forward to going all week and was telling my friends how nice it was and was excited to see how it looked after all this time,
I'm so disappointed with the place and how run down it is! from tee to green was nothing of its old self, no shape to fairways and the grass was quite long as for the bunkers well I've never seen such rundown bunkers and that's no joke! Some of the greens are just unplayable and look like they've been attacked by a 1000 rabbits all at once!
What a shame this was such a nice place with real potential what has happened to it! needs sorting before it's going to cost lots money to put it right lets hope something get sorted soon

A very open course with a lot of elevation change on some holes. Many of the holes are very similar. Clubhouse, bar and food were a little hit and miss. Very pleasant personnel.

I've played here a lot in the past and really enjoyed it but if the course do not spend money on watering greens, then people will not come back.

Great little par 3 let down by poor condition of greens dug up by rabbits.Lately the grass has died on the greens too.
