Great off course facilities, but courses need more TLC
I played the Derby Course and wondered if they ever actually tend to it, looked unkept, no ball washers, missing OOB stakes, tee boxes not repaired. Just seemed a course to spread the many golfers around the place. The next day I played the Brabazon which was much better (and should be) with much better tee boxes, manicured fairways and greens. Nearly landed the 10th with a 3W but hit sleepers to left of green and into the drink sigh. My verdict, play the Brabazon its a proper course, leave the Derby for the golfers wanting a cheaper deal. Play the PGA National and enjoy that. Of course facilities are absolutely amazing, but the prices are amazing too, but you're at the Belfry so expect to pay for that privilege. My other scores on here are based on the Brabazon not the Derby.Reviewer Rating

Lots of sand on and around the fairways. Could be in better condition but it is only March.

PGA National course day2 of trip. Not a patch on the Brabazon. Greens and fairways in really good condition however bunkers and overall layout let it down (especially at the price). Worth a look if you can get a special rate

Fantastic condition but not as good as I hoped
The brabazon is known for its 10th and 18th and they lived up to their reputation but the rest of the layout was very much like a parkland course with big bunkers and some water . May be it was my game, as I left that behind, but I am not sure i would be rushing back to play it. Would prefer the PGA myself(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 104 Handicap: 15.9)

The Derby at The Belfry
Disappointing inasmuch as you expect more from such a prestigious venue. Memorable holes do not stick in the memory, although the standard of on course playing conditions were very good (despite the recent very dry weather, with the resultant brown fairways). ?50 for a buggy - somewhat excessive and the cost of food and drink way up there with London west end prices! Having played The Brabazon course a couple of years ago this course pales into insignificance. Having said that our Society had fun, scored well, and will remember our day at The Belfry.Reviewer Rating

The course was parched. It is clear the greenkeepers are only interested in maintaining the Brabazon in a good condition.
