Challenging course Great views Highly recommend
I’m a member of another Leeds based golf club and was drawn to play in a singles comp at Temple Newsam. I was told before hand that the course was a bit of a state. Far from it. Considering the winter we’ve had, the course is in good shape. If I was being picky I would say the greens are bit woolly. I didn’t see any quad bikes although I did see a deer which was nice. The views on several lofty holes are worth the green fees. The course is quite long and challenging but offers golfers of all handicaps par and birdie opportunities. I had a pint afterwards and although a basic clubhouse the staff were welcoming and friendly. Finally, the member I played with was an absolute gent and a great ambassador for the club. Thanks again for the game Paul.Reviewer Rating

We've played one or other of the Temple Newsam Courses virtually every Wednesday for the last three years, around 150 rounds, we have not seen any 'vandels', only once seen a kid on a bike on either course, perhaps we find a flag missing or bicycle skid marks once every couple of months. Both courses are long and challenging but are almost invariably in very good condition, except when essential scarifying or similar is necessary. The rough may be unforgiving but the Fairways are generally wide and in good condition. The staff in the shop are always great and the bar is excellent. A round costs £10:65 during the week. I recently heard a player say that he had played £50:00 to play a nearby course and it wasn't in any better condition. The only trouble with the two courses is that more people don't play.
