Telford Hotel & Golf Resort
Great course designed by Peter Alliss. Par 72 with some tricky holes to test any standard of golfer. Superb greens for this time of year. True roll and a nice speed and well receptive. All in all a great game very much enjoyed.Reviewer Rating

Lightning greens
We played this course twice as part of a golf weekend. You really have to plan your way around each hole which i enjoyed. Greens were very tough to judge as flags were in extremely challenging positions! Loved it.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 91 Handicap: 18.5)

This remains a fantastic course
This course never fails to impress me . The greens are electric and takes careful reading. Par 4 Par 5 then par 3 to start off with and all challenging and interesting. Can't ask for better. But it does get better because even if you're not playing well , the views are breathtakingly beautiful. Oh and did I mention the wildlife ? Yes badgers .granted it was after seven and the sun was just about to disappear.

Great course, brilliant views
The Hawkstone course is a relatively short but challenging course with all holes having their own unique feature. The views are fantastic especially on the back nine.

Great course
Fairways were a bit overgrown but that was due to the badweather and staff being unable to get the mowers out. Really looking forward to going back when course is as it should be.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 105 Handicap: 27.3)

Comfy hotel, nice golf course
We visited on a Saturday after a good downpour so the fairways, paths and rough were often muddy or even boggy. It rained even more that night so had no choice but to abandon our booked Sunday round. We would like to return in spring/summer as the course was well laid out and picturesque. The hotel was comfy, staff very friendly and attentive and the food was good. Standard hotel prices for drinks, just under 10 quid for two alcoholic drinks.Reviewer Rating

Great value midweek
Played here for the first time as a one ball just for a bit of practice midweek due to a day off and I was suitably impressed.Bunkers are well sanded, fairways well maintained and greens very fast and true. Little traffic on the course (didn't catch anyone and never anyone behind) albeit i've read that it can be quite the opposite at weekends.
It's a long course but doesn't necessarily play into the hands of the big hitters as doglegs, fairway bunkers and tight angles mean accuracy is often key.
Club shop was ok but changing facilities a little small, didn't use the bar etc to be able to comment on refreshments. Would definitely make a return visit at the price I paid (?10!).
