Muddy!! I have played this course many times over the years and the course layout is good and in general its a nice course. However I have never played anywhere at any point where the course was so wet. Its clearly been like it for a while as most of the fairways had not been cut for ages.Every ball you hit on the fairways plugged. Very disappointed. I would play again but in the near future.

Nice course but chronically overbooked on both the Saturday and Sunday we were there. Rounds took over 5 hours and meant it was so dark we couldn't finish the course on Saturday. The starter told us we would struggle to play beyond 13 when we teed off at 14:20. Very disapointed that this wasn't mentioned when they took our booking, it seemed to be the norm for the course rather than exceptional circumstances

Played 18 on a cheap deal and still felt like it was overpriced for the condition of the course. It all looked good at the start, nice little range, chipping and putting area..but.. get onto the first green which was like patchwork quilt. Lots of dead patches all over the greens disrupting the line of putting. They were dry from the clever drainage system they boast but thats pointless if half of it is pants! Most of the fairways were cut up - looks lik a drainage plan but kills any roll on a good drive etc. It all looked a bit messy on the ground really - Loked forward to ending the round.

Disappointed

Have to say we were very disappointed with the lack of organisation, on course management and attitude off staff. On Sunday morning we had an 11:42 tee time. We arrived at the first treat 11:30 to find four 4 balls ahead of us waiting to tee off. Eventually teed off 12:20 played the 1st and arrived on the second tee with four 4 balls waiting to tee off. It took us 45 minutes to play 2 holes, so we walked off extremely disappointed.
We spoke to the staff in the pro- shop who didn't seem too bothered and stated that it would speed up after the par 3 4th hole. A starter and on course Marshall could have managed the situation and as the course was booked all day there isn't really reason to not have these in place.
We also played on Saturday and the round took 5 hrs 15 minutes! Why wasn't the halfway house open, when the course was rammed all day?
A shame really as the hotel and facilities are very good. Course was interesting and challenging and given the recent weather conditions, in reasonable condition.
Came away feeling let down and disappointed.

It was nice to get out on the golf course,but the greens were not very good,and the bunkers were unplayable

Course was good but took 3 hours and 40 minutes to play 9 holes as groups of 4 took it in turns to chat at each tee very unfriendly members felt very unwelcome would not play this course again

Telford Golf and Spa

Due to the weather the course was in very poor condition. On the first day we could hardly distinguish the fairways from the rough. Admittedly, on the second day, they did manage to cut the fairways which did make a big improvement. The rough itself was very long and thick, giving no chance of finding your ball. Some of the fairways were extremely boggy. The driving range was out of action due to no balls.
