Lovely course. Challenging

Brilliant course (even for a beginner!)
Played this coursed a couple of times now and always enjoy it. Great variety of holes which obviously includes the infamous Par 6 and fabulous island 18th. Course was in very good condition and the greens were all very smooth and ran fast. With current CV-19 restrictions all the facilities were closed, so can't comment on the food & bar.Reviewer Rating

Good Value
I have played this course many times with my husband and found it quite hard in places but not contrived. The greens are very fast, or at least they were yesterday, and being quite large in places approach chips to the pin had to be well short. Lots of bunkers and a bit of water to add to the drama. You should visit
I have played this course several times over several years and it has never been a disappointment. The holes vary quite considerably and the course could never be described as an "up and down" course as so many of them are. Lots of bunkers around greens and on fairways and very fast greens. Great course designed by Peter Alliss. Par 72 with some tricky holes to test any standard of golfer. Superb greens for this time of year. True roll and a nice speed and well receptive. All in all a great game very much enjoyed.Reviewer Rating

Lightning greens
We played this course twice as part of a golf weekend. You really have to plan your way around each hole which i enjoyed. Greens were very tough to judge as flags were in extremely challenging positions! Loved it.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 91 Handicap: 18.5)

This remains a fantastic course
This course never fails to impress me . The greens are electric and takes careful reading. Par 4 Par 5 then par 3 to start off with and all challenging and interesting. Can't ask for better.But it does get better because even if you're not playing well , the views are breathtakingly beautiful. Oh and did I mention the wildlife ? Yes badgers .granted it was after seven and the sun was just about to disappear.

Great course, brilliant views
The Hawkstone course is a relatively short but challenging course with all holes having their own unique feature.The views are fantastic especially on the back nine.

Fantastic
Really enjoyed this tree lined course. Greens are to USPGA standard and extremely quick . Considering the winter we have had the course was amazingly good . If you play it look out for the 8th lovely hole of golf .Clubhouse and hotel,spa all too a very high standard . Evening meal and breakfast excellent . I would return without a doubt

Have player here a few times in the past. The facilities are excellent and the staff are very friendly. The course was in excellent condition, especially the greens which were of the same speed all round.

Have played this course quite a bit over the years and was really surprised to see how quite it was yesterday, I can only put that down to the fine weather and it being a bank holiday, because the course is in great condition and the greens were excellent. The facilities are very good and the greeting was similar. A good day all round

Very good course
Only bad point. bunkers not really a hazard could do with softer sand or mixing up a bit to make tougher to get out of
