Gainsbough Stoke by Nayland
Played this course as part of an overnight stay package, we arrived and had one of the best breakfasts I've ever had, the course is good but needed a bit of a tidy up, the greens had been holotined and sanded and this was to be expected as this was the end of winter. The course layout is good the evening meal was outstanding and the staff were very friendly and professional.Reviewer Rating

Really Nice Course
A comprehensive set up with a spa hotel, 2 courses and a restaurant.Played the Constable which was very good, well looked after and provided a real challenge!

Overall a great stay
Really enjoyed the hotel and facilities especially after lockdown. Everyone was pleasant and the course was in a really good condition.(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 99 Handicap: )

Both courses in good condition. The Constable appeared to be more manicured than the Gainsborough. Greens were good on both. Very firm everywhere due to recent dry weather so hard to get a ball to hold a green. Hotel was excellent, as was food. Staff did well despite probably being a little short on no's. Excellent dinner. Look forward to heading back in the future.

well worth the visit
despite the very wet weather it was in pretty good condition, greens could do with some TLC but the weather has almost certainly been the reason for them not being redressed having been some weeks ago(Round played: May 2021 - Score: 93 Handicap: 17.8)

Great Course
Good course and facilities. Overcrowded course meant a 5 hour round which did not help anybodies golf!! Excuse. Hotel is very good and the food is top quality.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 105 Handicap: 22)

Is a fantastic course but also very tough track with a lot of hills so quite a trek.Greens were true and the fairways were in good condition.

Great test of golf
Difficult to find but worth it. Played Gainsborough and it did not disappoint. Easy opening hole but number 2 was a brute. Very scenic with great greens and undulating fairways. Overpriced but with half price voucher it was worth it.Reviewer Rating
