you get what you pay for here and whilst it's technically listed as links, it's more a parkland course, in particular it doesn't drain and gets muddy. It's pretty rough, but got 15 quid, it's hard to complain.

Rough was very high for the time of year, bunkers were in a very poor state, not raked at all for days. Southport is a town full of retired residents, find some willing volunteers!! Course could be immaculate! Greens were quite good and the fairways.

Good greens, consistent and interesting shapes. Course flat and featureless. Fairways very narrow, then horrendous 'rough' immediately beside it - lost a few balls only a few yards off the fairway! This really was frustrating and caused very slow play ahead of us. Facilities very basic, no practice nets or driving range. Wouldn't go back unfortunately.

No pro shop,course was quite,drainage is better than before,tees not good.course is improving but not really value for money as a muni.

Needs some loving tender care.

Can get boggy, tee's are generally poor but overall I like the course, not too difficult. A little pricey for what you get though.

a bit expensive. the course was in not bad condition , however the greens were full of goose / bird muck which caused problems. otherwise not bad
