What the club says: Situated less than 2 miles inland from Southport’s Beach and Promenade, Southport Old Links is easily accessible. It is a lovely intimate links-parkland course, surrounded by birch trees with views eastwards across the Lancashire plain to distant hills.
The course measures 6,460 yards, par 72 for men and 5,709 yards, par 72 for ladies and is a fair, challenging and enjoyable test for all levels of golfer. Although only 9 holes it has 18 very different tees that give the feel of a true 18 hole course. The length of many of the holes is king sized, a truly demanding test of golf and a delightful golfing experience. Great greens & challenging course for serious golfers & those with flexible golf needs.

Tough track
Great course which is deceptively long, even with plenty of run with it being links. Accuracy is key, some narrow fairways, has dog legs both ways. Greens run true. Very friendly staff and members. Called to book a tee time as Pro shop only open in morning so call the office or steward save you a trip.Reviewer Rating

Great Course will be even better
When the current up grades to the course have been completed it will be absolutely superb. The 9th/18th will fantastically challenging holes. The 1st/10th tee completion will make this fairway tricky and satisfying. The first tee will be so narrow for your first hit of a ball! Daunting!Reviewer Rating

Lovely little 9 hholes

Enjoyable round here even though only a 9 hole the 2 different tee boxes for each hole make each hole feel very different.

A nice little 9 holer. Nice greens, fast but tricky with subtle borrows on most of the greens. Very rarely had a straight putt. The course was in lovely condition. On the back 9, the tee boxes are in different positions which is a nice touch. I would like to play this course again.

All though the coures is 9 hole course, it is a magical course the putting greens were inpecable best iv played on, if a nine hole coures puts you off from playing them, then play this coures and it will not disapoint you.
