A great test of your ability - excellent Greens and a warm welcome
The Course is in excellent condition and the Greens have had much work - all are well watered and receptive to a well hit wedge. The course is long and several holes in particular (the 5th, 8th and 10th) all require good drives and second shots to get you to the green in regulation. The Greens roll well and the views over the surrounding countryside are stunning. Fairways currently a bit hard but after 4-5 very dry weeks that's understandable. Pace of play is good and its not in the least crowded. A real gem of a course in lovely countryside. Green fees are very reasonable for somewhere of this quality. Friendly and welcoming clubhouse and staff.Reviewer Rating

Course very busy when we arrived but we were allowed to go off the 10th tee and even with the Seniors match and Ladies on the course, the pace of play was great. Fairways and greens were in good condition but unfortunately the bunkers needed attention, so flat and compacted it was difficult to het the ball up and out. Clubhouse staff really friendly and providing 5 breakfasts eben with the Seniors due in very soon.

Plays very long and it's a good walk, lots of up and down the hills , so you know you've played. The most challenging course around I think , very hole is avery different prospect.

Disappointing to find so many temporary tees of varying standard so early in the winter. Most of the bunkers appeared to be waterlogged and muddy with only some marked GUR.
The lack of control of first tee timings found us queueing behind two groups at our tee-time. A twenty minute delay at this time of year makes sighting of the ball quite difficult late in the round.
A challenging and varied course which would be fun to play if the niggles were sorted out.

Good game after a long layoff due to sickness glad to be back out and enjoying my golf, not a bad round for the first on back

the course is very hilly but a really great course considering the rain its had only 1 temporary green and when drier will be even more challenging would play again if in the area again

Held Golf Society end of year Golf + Christmas Dinner at South Hereford Golf Club.
The Course played extremely well even with rain and wind. The Dinner was exceptional all freshly cooked, with food to spare and the Staff were most pleasant and helpful.
At £22.95 a head Golf and Dinner would recommend to any Society or individuals. This was the second year for our Society, enjoyed by everyone.

Freindly welcome and reasonably priced course. Greens to some tees can be quite a walk and found the greens to be slow and sluggish fairways were fine, also not the flatest of courses but pleasent views with some tricky holes. Don't stray too far off the fairways as you will need another ball due to the long and thick grass.
