What the club says: Newent Golf Course is a lovely 9 hole course with panoramic views. 6 par 4's and 3 par 3's. The course is a fantastic challenge, with 27 sand bunkers spread over the course and the pond in front of the 3rd green making a really testing round of golf for golfers of all abilities.

brilliant friendly course

Here is a course where they have got everything right. Bacon rolls for lunch, the bestest ever greens in Gloucester, fairways and rough suitably cut.

It's a challenging course, made very interesting by the rural setting.

Improvements could be
1. a place to practise driving other than the nets and
2. hey a practice putting green of similar quality to the greens on the course.

All playable

We play here regularly and when all the other courses are waterlogged. The service is excellent and if you behave yourself they will tailor catering needs to suit you.

I am coming back to golf after a long break. Spent last few months at driving range trying to get confidence to play off grass again. This is a great course to practice. You can score low here but get it wrong and it will bite you. Great challenge for all levels.

A course that I've played many times over the years. No par 5s, just a mixture of par 3s and 4s. Not too challenging, and ideal for players of all standards.

A short course, consisting of 9 holes, suitable for all abilities, although low handicappers might not find it too much of a challenge.
Well drained and claims to be open throughout the year (not personally tested).
Only played twice this Spring, but will definitely return.

Played here for the 1st time on Sunday 9 November 2014. Very friendly staff, pay and play - not a long wait before tee off, nice course, suitable for all handicaps - tricky positioning of holes/trees etc to make a short course testing for more experienced golfers.
Fairways, tees and greens all in good condition, despite having had a heavy deluge of rain the day earlier.
Will be playing here again

Me and my wife have been coming here for a couple of months Now and are always treated very Well by the family run staff, the course itself can be tricky if your tee shot goes wayward and some tricky bunkers to make your round of golf challenging, we very much enjoy our sunday mornings here..
