fun course
Played this 27 hole course for the second time, its made of 3 9 hole courses giving you the option of what 18 holes to play. we played the Heron and Hawk. There are some long par 5 holes which even the longest hitters wont make it on in 2. course was in good condition. food was basic but ok. clubhouse is very relaxed with no dress code, also used for public playing foot golf etc.Reviewer Rating

Spoke with the young man in the Pro shop after to discuss the price £30 for the condition of the course due to the conditions! Not very forthcoming or apologetic! It's the same price no matter what !!!
Also added as I played in a two ball and followed a FOUR ball for the whole round and not called through !! They had two clear holes in front of them for the majority of the round ! Response was it was a members four ball swindle !
Fancied a pint and something to eat after in the clubhouse!!! Waited at the bar for what seemed an eternity!!!! Lots of banging and crashing in the kitchen but no one to serve ! Decided to go somewhere local instead!
Seems if your a member your welcome! If not then not very welcoming !!!!!

Well maintained and challenging course. However, some of the hole positions cut on slopes were almost unplayable such as 8 on the Heron. I enjoy a challenge but a little more thought from the greenkeeper please.

Heron is a good test.
Did not play the Hawk.
Not overly impressed by the 'football golf' course that was on the same course as the Vixen.
Clubhouse and Car park does the job, but is a bit of a dump and uncared for.
Focussing on the golf course, would go back for sure, pleasing to the eye.
Good greens, very true.
Not a massive test, I am a 14 handicapper and went round in 7 over par (78), but good for practising your short irons.
Very good value for money, paid £15 for 18 holes.

One really bad memory, the guy in the pro shop was not very helpful! Tried to charge me to play, I'm a member at another Crown Golf club so get free golf after 2pm at weekends. Then tried to make the other two pay full price even though we had an agreed 2for1 arrangement!
