too wet to be playable
played late on a saturday. nice enough course, open, greens in good condition, but everywhere other than greens very wet - ground was waterlogged most of the way round, a lot of unplayable lies. Course shouldn't have been open, or at least heavily discounted on green fees/warned when booking. Would avoid playing if it is like that through the winter, probably much better May onwards.Reviewer Rating

Poor
Played the hawk and vixen today with the weather we've recently had I think to charge £30 a round is well over priced, given the state of the fairways. The area's around the greens are shocking to say the least .you could play else where for much less.would not recommended this course in winter .Reviewer Rating

Too wet
I chose this course based on the course status ?all courses open and playing really well? I'm not sure if the person who wrote this had actually stepped foot on the course. The course should of been shut! They clearly just wanted the moneyReviewer Rating

Played here many times before and decided at the end of last year not to play here again due to the poor standard of the course. Decided to give it another chance this weekend, but was again very disappointed with the poor tee boxes and the greens were very bumpy and did not run true at all. I do not recommend playing here until they spend a bit of money on the course. Also, the driving range is very poorly stocked and some of the balls are quite frankly shocking.

Played this course yesterday 21st Feb 2016. Don't think I will rush back ! They have tried to pen you through to the fairways and away from greens to protect the course which is about the only plus side with the recent weather. Shame they haven't put any thought whatsoever into the Tee's ! Suggestion? Try moving the Tee pins around ! Was like teeing off in a paddy field ! 60% of the bunkers were marked GUR ! due to being unplayable, fair enough but those not marked GUR were in as bad a condition as the GUR ones.
Spoke with the young man in the Pro shop after to discuss the price £30 for the condition of the course due to the conditions! Not very forthcoming or apologetic! It's the same price no matter what !!!
Also added as I played in a two ball and followed a FOUR ball for the whole round and not called through !! They had two clear holes in front of them for the majority of the round ! Response was it was a members four ball swindle !
Fancied a pint and something to eat after in the clubhouse!!! Waited at the bar for what seemed an eternity!!!! Lots of banging and crashing in the kitchen but no one to serve ! Decided to go somewhere local instead!
Seems if your a member your welcome! If not then not very welcoming !!!!!

some off the tees were like bad football pitches, very muddy greens ok
service in club house worst i have ever seen did not get served after round waited 10 minutes then walked out
