Great course!!

South Essex
Played in January in winter conditions.Course was very soft under foot and needs the drainage upgrading.
The bunkers are bad but there are signs work is being done to them.
The greens were very good for the time of year and best I’ve played in the winter.
A lot of work has been done around the club house area and I hope they will spend money on the course.
The green fee was £30 in the week I think with winter conditions £25 would be fare.

Excellent value
A good track indeed, with a very friendly welcome. Absolutely superb greens and just two slight complaints. Firstly, the bunkers on the Vixen nine holes had absolutely no sand and should have been GUR. It was ridiculous. Secondly, they could do with having a flag system, for front and back of green. Apart from that, a nice track and worth playing(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 96 Handicap: 19)

Played 18 holes on the Heron and Hawk courses. Fairly open but some interesting holes. Do not recommend the deep rough! They had just sanded the greens so putting was interested. Starting Marshall was friendly and helpful. Buggies with satnav very cheap. Bunkers not much kop but the rest is fine, and for ?30 midweek and late morning, was good value. Pro shop good and friendly as well. Will be back again in October. Nice terrace bar to wind down in afterwards too.

Good course, terrible tees
Course in really good condition and a very fair test. Greens a nice speed and a good challenge. But as said by others, tees are terrible. Very few are flat and are very marked. I find it amazing why so many courses get this wrong, itt doesn’t need to be lush green, but they should be flat.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 88 Handicap: 17.7)

Massively improved by new owners

Playable Course despite recent bad weather
The greens were firm and true. The fairways were well drained and there was little or no standing water. A credit to the greenkeepers, and staff.(Round played: Jan 2018 - Score: 105 Handicap: 25.3)

Great course. Well worth a visit. Played this course a few times with friends. Four ball and two ball. Always end up enjoy the course and wanting to go again after the first 18
