Super Course, great views.

Played the course today, the last time we were here the course was a 9 hole one, it has now been expanded to 18 holes, so a new layout to contend with. Clearly the new parts of the course need time to mature, but the condition of the fairways was good, and the greens very good (and very difficult to putt on with big breaks). The older parts of the course were in very good condition.
Had a very enjoyable round, very good value for money, and the views down the river valley were amazing. Would recommend.

Great course! A parkland course with plenty of hills and challenges. We've played here a few times and they're always incredibly welcoming and give us tips about how to approach the course.

Good course, each hole tests your play. Small greens mean your approach play has to be on form

A nice course with 2 different challenges the front 9 more open fairways with room to bail out if you hit a poor shot the wind is also a factor, the back 9 you need to plot your way round more thinking of where you are going to lay up.

nice scenery lovely views front nine very hilly greens a bit slow fairways could have done with a bit shorter grass back nine easier walking flatter. coarse has been in better condition on previous visits no food available at end of round this may have been a one off.

The stand out feature of Rothbury is the views of the surrounding Northumbrian hills and countryside - they are stunning, and especially on a lovely sunny day.

The course is not a long course but has many interesting holes and the new front 9 has been blended with the original back 9 superbly to provide an enjoyable place to play golf.

Lunch on the suntrap verandah taking in those views was almost as enjoyable as the golf, even if we did have to fetch it ourselves from the village due to the clubhouse having no food on the day we visited!
