What the club says: Our 18 hole, 72 par, undulating parkland course is set within fine mature woodland and is, in the words of its designer, "not for the faint hearted."

A delightful parkland setting with undulating fairways. Tougher than it looks at first glance. Fringed by mature woodland with spectacular views of the Simonside hills, the course comprises an imaginative layout which will keep golfers on their toes.

Course in very poor condition. Tee boxes not cut, only some fairways cut. Greens were brown and fluffy with rabbit holes everywhere. Hit your ball into the rough and you will never find it.

Enjoyable, fun golf course and the first time I had played it. Nice, wooded surroundings to most holes giving good relief from a strong westerly breeze. Nice views of the hills to the west and over the Northumberland plain to the south. One or two fairways on the narrow side leading to the longer par 4's being tough to score well on. All the staff were pleasant and the pricing was fair. I thought the long oar 3 was an excellent hole. Nice to see the greens' staff were working hard to deal with the dry spring. Hope the owners keep on improving the course as it would be nice to join.

the course has improved since I last played growing in well and a lot of work has been done. On the day it was a little waterlogged after a deluge of rain the night before but the greens still held up well and proved a challenge. Set in a lovely environment and is an enjoyable round of golf with great service and a lovely bar at the 19th.

we are mid to high handicap golfers but the course is pretty boring and tight with lots of out of bound areas fairways tight and nicely short to play off but if you cant hit the fairway your a gonna because the rough is far too high over 3 feet in places so take a good sack of balls cause i have never seen rough so high

Course in good condition, Greens very true. Only fault is the way they are cutting the fairways very tight and in some places you hit fairway then semi rough in middle of fairway.
