What the club says: The 6700 yard, 18 hole par 72 course was designed by ex Ryder Cup captain Mark James and celebrated course architect Andrew Mair. Burgham Park is a championship parklands course located in the Northumbrian countryside 9 mile North of Morpeth and 2 mile South of Felton just off the A1. It has panoramic views of the Simonside hills to the West and the coast to the East. Set in beautiful rolling countryside this course provides a challenging round for all abilities. The maturing parklands with water hazards, is both beautiful and tranquil and includes some of the finest greens in the region.
Excellent course and a difficult challenge in the wind
Fairways are as good as any played this year and the 18th off the back tee is the toughest par in the county
The atmosphere? What atmosphere? Virtually non existent and the clubhouse is horrible. The bar down stairs which used to be the pro shop looks like a cowboy has done it. Now there is no pro shop just bits on a wall. The greens are awful and the bunkers have more grass in them than the actual greens. Tee boxes and fairways look good but only because no one plays there. Played on a saurday and it was dead to the world. No a body in sight. Something needs to happen quickly, real shame as it used to be such as nice place.
Course now reopened by Pro Kevin Gow after a brief closure. The course itself is in great condition with a fantastic layout and excellent greens. There's also several buggies available if needed. Kevin and his staff are very welcoming on arrival and look after every need. The nineteenth has a well stocked bar with catering facilities. All our members theroghly enjoyed our visit and will certainly return.

Greens in very good condition but hard after a long spell of dry weather. Difficult to get the ball to hold on approach shots.
