I have played here before when it was called 'Roserrow' but I'm not sure the course or club house has improved as much as appears to be reported. For a start, the lengthy driveway leading to the clubhouse could definitely do with the huge amount of pot-holes filling, and the course itself was still pretty 'agricultural'. The rough is certainly rough, and although the course itself is an interesting one and the greens were in particularly good condition, it could do with a few more trees being planted as it's pretty exposed in places. The most disappointing aspect though was the lack of signage from greens to the next tees and there was no sign on a tee which asked you to wait for the bell - it was just lucky we heard it. It took us about 4 hours to go round and were looking forward to some food when we got back. However, the kitchen was shut in the afternoon which is poor. I don't know of any other courses where you can't eat a meal when you come off the course, whatever time it is. We were going to have a beer but decided to go instead. Overall, for ?25 for the round it was just OK, although it was a bit galling to see a sign for a winter special at ?18 including a meal - but although this was on a Wednesday it didn't apply during the festive period.

An absolute delight. A real gem of a course in superb condition from start to finish. It's a deceptively longer playing course than the yardage suggests with plenty of interest to keep you honest - fair bunkering, streams, OoBs, mature trees and some quite penal second cut and main rough. There are some nice touches - the dry stone walls, mounds and drop offs that make this a very attractive woodland/park course. My favourite holes started from the first par 5 6th hole which is long and blind, and the very pretty 7th par 3. The dog-leg 9th, and the valley 10th are also lovely, but certainly the S.I 1 14th is the loveliest looking and pretty tough - you have to thread your drive between two streams with OoB looming. The finishing holes are not amazing but still testing enough for a returning player like me and overall I had a dreadful round made up for by the stunning views and the friendly owner Jeremy. Well worth a visit!

What a little gem and a breath of fresh air. Beautiful setting and terrific facilities. Reception exceptionally friendly and they are quite happy for well behaved dogs to accompany you on the course. Some of the views are stunning. Tees, fairways and greens are all in extremely good condition. The clubhouse is excellent and the restaurant is worthy of a visit even if you aren't playing golf. In addition they have some stunning apartments on site that are very reasonably priced, particularly for society visits. If I lived locally I would definitely take out membership here. A great day out and good value.

As a new golfer I have been fortunate to find The Point at Polzeath. The course is beautifully maintained with a very friendly reception to help you through the early stages. The apres golf facilities have also helped me provide a professional lunch venue for clients that never disappoints. The next step for me is a series of lessons from the resident Pro….. Can't wait!

\The Point at Polzeath is the first golf club I have joined and it is likely to be the last. Since joining the club it has been incredible to witness the efforts made by the ground staff to transform a good course into a fabulous course. The whole team are super friendly making my leisure time as fun as it is valuable. \Alan M.

We travel down twice a year and play many of the local courses, prior to the new management team taking over The Point or Rosserrow as it was then was not on our radar. It has been a regular of ours for the last 4 or 5 trips and the course is getting better all the time. The staff are great, value for money is brilliant and the food is amazing. This has now become our Sunday morning last round of golf finished off with the Sunday roast, yummy. \\Give it a go it\'s great\\K.P.

(Round played: Aug 2015 - Score: 118 Handicap: 28)
Will mark areas of course :
Golf reception - helpful but disorganised. Hired clubs which where very poor but as given a free trolley
As a positive. One big negative left my Credit card as deposit for hire clubs was told to return it to restaurant as pro shop will be shut to return clubs and collect my card , guess what no card at Resturant so could not go out for dinner and gave to go back tomorrow !
Tees - general good condition
Fairway - general good condition
Greens - very good , true and surprisingly quick after large amount of rain last few days

Great improvements, played 2 Novembers ago and the course was very damp. Not now, excellent work has been conducted on the course and drainage working well, greens were in great nick and really enjoyed the welcome from the staff at both the Club Shop and the Restaurant. Looking forward to seeing the apartments completed, fantastic views and position.

This golf course just keeps getting better. It always had the views but now the condition of the course matches it. Loved it and will be back as soon as i can. Can't wait for the new Hilda Close apartments that overlook the course and coast to open, it will be a perfect stay and play location.
