SLOW SLOW SLOWEST EVER
Slowest round of golf ever. Over 4 hours 50!! And told by chap behind the counter that’s to be expected as a busy weekend.Marshall has a hopeless task as they let all range of handicap golfers outs. Nice corse in places. But not really worth the money. Bar nice now but service in bar worse that the course as no bar staff and really noisy!

Slow
Far too slow, more interest in societies and over booking. If you’re happy with a 6 hour round and 3 groups on every tee, the course for youReviewer Rating

Great course
This is a lovely, challenging course. The course has undergone significant redesign during the pandemic, with water in play (even more than in the old layout) and more bunkers. The greens and bunkers are in very good condition. The greens are quick and slopes that add to the difficulty. The four par 5's are tough and when it is windy, they are tough. The course is always very busy so be prepared to be paired up with other players.Reviewer Rating

Getting better and better
Greens in great condition. Fairways lot better than last year . Bunkers always been poor but have all been re done with additional bunkers added . The brick work around the clubhouse lakes looks so much betterYou can see the club being excellent next summer and understand new club house on the horizon

Challenging course
I'm a recent member to Pyrford. The layout is excellent and a good mix of holes. There have been significant changes in recent years and it looks a little rough around the edges in places, but this will change over the next year or two. This will develop into a very pretty looking course. It's not a grip it and rip it course at all. In fact, last time I played, I hit irons off the tee about 75% of the time, although, that was off the yellows - whites would bring more woods into the mix. Greens were lovely. Receptive and rolling very nicely. The greens are faster than most in Surrey, but I prefer that. Found the sand twice, but noticed all the bunkers looked consistent with plenty of sand. Worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

Great course. Some improvements could make it great!
Myself and a few others visited this course in the middle of October 2020 and it is in by far a better condition than most courses I have visited over the last 12-18 months. Given the extremely wet weather we had, followed by no rain at all for months this course hardly shows that. The greens are in immaculate condition and quite fast which was a welcomed change to my local course. There are some significant improvements going on around the course which include around water, fairways and layout of the course. I haven't seen this level of improvement works in a single course, ever!
The course is relatively short but don't be fooled, it isn't an easy course with lots of water in play. Add this to the fact that none of the par 5's are reachable in two unless you are extremely accurate. The short Par 4's are also very guarded making the risk far outweigh the reward but this is what makes golf interesting and fun.
We paid £30 each for a four ball on a Monday afternoon. This represents extremely good value for money. I would have easily paid more, maybe not without knowing the course though as it looks easy due to the yardage.
The only issue was some slow play which isn't expected on a Monday afternoon. I dread to think what it is like on a weekend. I don't think the layout helps the slow play with plenty of waiting for fairways to clear thanks to the short distance. That being said I don't think this is any different to any other course. My local course is around the same price and can be a hell of a lot slower than this and no where near as good a course.
I do think some people want wagyu steak for the price of mince, this course is fillet for the price of fillet. Would highly recommend.

Great track & friendly staff
Plenty of water but the greens are some of the best we've played.Lots of interesting holes that need thinking through.
Great bar & patio area. Watch out for the on course drinks buggy though - prices are a bit steep. Wait until the 19th.
