What the club says: Pyrford is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and wildlife. Ringed by magnificent woodland the fairways weave between sculptured mounds and the 23 acres of lakes, fringed with bulrushes, reeds and lilies, give the course its distinctive and unique characteristic with water ever present.
The 6,230 yard course is separated into 2 loops providing a choice of starting positions. Every hole is different and whilst the course may not be the longest by today’s modern designs a good score will require careful strategy and use of every club in your bag. The best players may well be tempted to take on the challenge of longer carries yet the design gives the less experienced player a safer and more productive route.
Different combinations of tee positions provide a challenge for players of all abilities and the unique design ensures no two rounds are the same.

Wow, what a course!
Beautiful and challenging course, obviously from the name of the course, there is a lot of water, but its such a beautiful course that it gets you thinking of each and every shot!Reviewer Rating

Played a week ago. Great course, prepare for 5:30 rounds, so many societies etc. management have no interest when concerns raised, such a shameReviewer Rating

Very friendly staff who made all of us very welcome. Had people on course to reduce slow play. Never offensive just making the odd suggestion. Challenging with lots of water but really enjoyed the venue. Food and bar service excellentReviewer Rating

Interesting course to play
Worth a visit - lots of water around the course as the name suggests. Not easy to play on first visit as the course layout makes club and shot selection difficult. Make sure you have enough spare balls in your bag!Reviewer Rating

Stunning
What a golf course. It's beautiful and offers a different sort of challenge to lots of local courses as it's much tighter and with a lot of water. You don't need to hit long but game management needs to be on point. Greens in excellent condition! Even the food afterwards on a gorgeous terrace was brilliant. My only reasons for scoring down are that the practice area is poor and it's ?67 for a visitor to play at the weekend.Reviewer Rating

15 of us played on a lovely sunny day. Staff were attentive (special mention to Sally). Course was in excellent condition, lots of water so a number of challenging holes to deal with. We couldn't fault the days experienceReviewer Rating

Nice course but beware the water!
Great course though water comes in to play quite a lot and so take some spare balls. For low handicappers shouldn't be an issue but for the rest of us makes it quite difficult. Holes could do with some information boards giving layout of the hole and water hazards, and I didn't seem to see any distance markers unless I missed them?Reviewer Rating

SLOW SLOW SLOWEST EVER
Slowest round of golf ever. Over 4 hours 50!! And told by chap behind the counter that’s to be expected as a busy weekend.Marshall has a hopeless task as they let all range of handicap golfers outs. Nice corse in places. But not really worth the money. Bar nice now but service in bar worse that the course as no bar staff and really noisy!
