The course was not in as good condition as I had remembered in from previous visits - there is no sand in the majority of the bunkers and the course feels as if it needs some serious work and investment.

Pretty Setting
Lovely little course. Unfortunately the greens had recently been done and were not great. Course a little tired and needs some tlc. Would like to play here again once things improve(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 100 Handicap: 18.5)

Disappointing
We were warned about the greens being recently spiked. However, the greens were ok. The course looked tired. Fairways had weeds, some tee boxes had bramble, and hardly any sand in bunkers- in fact the bunkers had more stones in than sand. It's always been a well looked after, nicely presented golf course- not so much nowadaysReviewer Rating

Greens in terrible condition due to maintenance but green fee was reduced. Fairways poor though. Potential to be a really nice course but needs some TLC

The course was in OK condition but was not worth the £50 green fee. Bearing in mind that Merrist Wood, also a Crownwood golf course, is only 5 miles away and is half of the price, the green fee doesn't really stack up. The ground staff were quite intrusive - I know they have a job to do but were quite often being noisy in close proximity to our group. There were some very slow groups on the course and, to be fair, the Marshall did a good job of either speeding them up or making them let our group through. All in all, I would play again but only on a deal of some sort.

It is what it is. Cheap golf!
Greens ok for time of year but have played better in the area.
Fairways average but wear marks are showing through. Can't imagine what it will be like at the end of a busy summer.
But I guess you get what you pay for these days.

Good course but super slow and no marshal
I enjoyed the course but super slow. Guys in front of us playing off whites, one of them 2 hots in and by the red tees.Need a marshal to speed up play and sort nonsense out like that

Very short and tricky
Not a good course for those who like to hit driver a lot!!Short, tight and fiddly, would be nice to have the chance to hit driver at each of the par-5s, but the layout with water in play made that tricky.
Par-3s are all wedge distance, depending on the wind, but course was in very good condition and the greens were fast and true.
