Great course. Some improvements could make it great!
Myself and a few others visited this course in the middle of October 2020 and it is in by far a better condition than most courses I have visited over the last 12-18 months. Given the extremely wet weather we had, followed by no rain at all for months this course hardly shows that. The greens are in immaculate condition and quite fast which was a welcomed change to my local course. There are some significant improvements going on around the course which include around water, fairways and layout of the course. I haven't seen this level of improvement works in a single course, ever!
The course is relatively short but don't be fooled, it isn't an easy course with lots of water in play. Add this to the fact that none of the par 5's are reachable in two unless you are extremely accurate. The short Par 4's are also very guarded making the risk far outweigh the reward but this is what makes golf interesting and fun.
We paid £30 each for a four ball on a Monday afternoon. This represents extremely good value for money. I would have easily paid more, maybe not without knowing the course though as it looks easy due to the yardage.
The only issue was some slow play which isn't expected on a Monday afternoon. I dread to think what it is like on a weekend. I don't think the layout helps the slow play with plenty of waiting for fairways to clear thanks to the short distance. That being said I don't think this is any different to any other course. My local course is around the same price and can be a hell of a lot slower than this and no where near as good a course.
I do think some people want wagyu steak for the price of mince, this course is fillet for the price of fillet. Would highly recommend.

Great track & friendly staff
Plenty of water but the greens are some of the best we've played.Lots of interesting holes that need thinking through.
Great bar & patio area. Watch out for the on course drinks buggy though - prices are a bit steep. Wait until the 19th.

Feedback from my round
Here’s a quick summary of our day. Safe to say we will be back & I’ll mention the course to a couple of societies I play in ????Greeting on arrival was very friendly & we were checked in quickly which is important now we are arriving close to T times.
Having a drinks buggy sets the club apart from many of the other courses we’ve booked through Golf Now.
Course was by far the best we’ve played in this very unusual summer. The greens were fantastic & it was good not to see many pitch marks.
The setting outside at the 19th was really nice & table service/payment friendly & efficient.
One minor issue which is really only relevant for new visitors is signage. We took a wrong turn on way to the 10th. Maybe add a sign next to driving range one?

The course has come on leaps and bounds lately, they are re doing the bunkers and the new manager seems to be doing a very good job. The course is back to its former glory. As a former member I may re join soon!Reviewer Rating

Lovely, interesting course
Loads of water, clever layout which puts a premium on thoughtful play. Great condition and a lovely setting - highly recommended. Club pro's also very helpful holding onto my club for several weeks after I left it out on the course. Recommend a visit.Reviewer Rating

Great condition
Played on a sunny May day in a soc. Good tees , good fairways and superb greens. The course is short at 5700 off yellows but water and bunkers on all but 1 hole, lots of standout holes 3,8,9,12,14,18. Par 3s are pretty short with max 8 or 9 iron needed. All par 3s are over water bar 1 that has a 100yd bunker. Im not a big hitter but reached SI1 in 2 shots for a par, 420plus normally into wind. 18 can be a card wrecker so be long and left off the tee for an easy 2nd. Well worth a visit. One neg is couple of bunkers need a bit more sand ( sorry ). Great course.Reviewer Rating
