Challenging course
I'm a recent member to Pyrford. The layout is excellent and a good mix of holes. There have been significant changes in recent years and it looks a little rough around the edges in places, but this will change over the next year or two. This will develop into a very pretty looking course. It's not a grip it and rip it course at all. In fact, last time I played, I hit irons off the tee about 75% of the time, although, that was off the yellows - whites would bring more woods into the mix. Greens were lovely. Receptive and rolling very nicely. The greens are faster than most in Surrey, but I prefer that. Found the sand twice, but noticed all the bunkers looked consistent with plenty of sand. Unbelievable value
Very tough test. Obviously lots of water, but the tight fairways and heavy tough will be the worst of your troubles. The greens though are some of the best I've played at this sort of price bracket/standard. True and consistent hole to hole.Highly recommended.

Little gem
Beautiful course with lots of water but in very good condition and some of the best greens around.Superb value for money and absolutely worth a visit

Really nice golf course. You will no doubt lose a lot of balls when you dink it in to the water. Water exists on almost every hole.

Lovely course

Really challenging course

The 18th has trouble on both sides of the fairway, with lots of lake hugging the left hand side as you're about to play your approach.
This course is definitely worth giving a visit to.

Exciting, but best is yet to come
Played last week late afternoon. There is a fair bit of work going on currently to improve the course, but can be forgiven as the scope looks amazing. Welcomed and directed by a very polite and friendly pro shop attendant. Love having lots of water to look at and the challenge of avoiding, greens were good and quick, and sand was brand new and soft. This place will be absolutely superb when their work is complete, I just hope they won’t hike the price up too much more to reflect that.Reviewer Rating

Pretty good
Played there Wed 12th 21. I had played there twice in the past before the work. It will be excellent when the work is finished but I did enjoy it in any event.The bacon bap was superb and the burger one of the best I ever had. I just hope it will be as good at Sherfileld Oaks when we get a Chef.
