A lovely little course. In fantastic condition for the time of year, the greens were excellent considering the rain of the previous day.
The welcome in the Pro Shop was fantastic, the pro even walked out to the course with me to explain where to go. I also spoke to the green keeper to congratulate him on the course, it sounds like they've got some good plans for the future.
Yes there are a few cross overs & a couple of blind holes, but they really aren't a major problem. Especially for £7.50!
It's a good test & I look forward to playing it again in the summer of 2017.

A hilly start and end to the course. Glad I only used a pencil bag. The course itself is playing fine, although some of the greens are in a bobbly state. The 13th was heavily sanded which made putting difficult. All round though for the price I paid, it was an enjoyable round of golf

Played in the winter season, a new groundsman has been working here and is doing a great job. We were playing off the standard tees and the normal greens. I bumped into a few of the locals too who were easy to get along with. A great experience overall.

Although short in nature, the par 3's provide a stern enough test to maintain interest. The greens were in excellent condition despite some recent poor weather. Cost is excellent, and proved an excellent start to a 36 hole day linked with a nearby course.

Played here sunday morning, Well worth the £10 fee, greens/fairways in decent condition (however the shop/bar etc was not open) keep some spare change for a taxi between 6-7. Nice elevated 18th tee to finnish on. 30/09/2012

Hidden gem. A little tricky to find your way from hole to hole.
Fairways in good condition, rough short but thick.

Played here last Monday for the first time and have to say the course was in fantastic condition considering all the recent rain. Greens were probably the best I've played on and fairways immaculate. You need to be accurate off the tee here to score well (which I'm not!) and you need to putt well or there are plenty of 3 putts to be had with the undulations! The strange thing is I'm struggling to remember a lot of the holes. Maybe the hole-in-one I had at the 4th hole (my first ever!) scrambled my mind a bit but I can't remember walking off any of the greens thinking "wow, that was a great hole" (except obviously the 4th!).
Still I'd definitely like to go back as I'd probably get a different perspective on the course having played it more than once. Managed to get a great deal via Groupon at £11 so so my VFM mark is probably a little distorted if played the course at full price.

Surprisingly Prestwich golf course is a very good course with some tricky holes to play. Although it is a short course it allows the average amateur golfer to sharpen his/her skills in course management and play a completely different game than on the larger courses. Location is really nice to say it lies just off the busy main road, the staff are always very helpful and professional throughout. Overall i would not hesitate to play here again.

The course is quite hilly in places but very good, dont bother if you like flat and open fairways. Greens in perfect condition.

Nice short course
First visit to re-modelled course. Condition fine in dry conditions. greens good with just a little bit of edging suffering from the recent dry weather,. Rough punishing especially a problem if not familiar with the course as there are a lot of unseen shots required. . a fairly tight course requiring some good gameplay and accuracy. Several tees bare and requiring attention but didnt detract from an enjoyable outing. Well worth a visit as it's not long or too hilly especially in the warm weather.Reviewer Rating

Too many crossovers. On some holes, you were hitting over tees and greens! Alot of waiting around for areas to clear. Somewhat hilly with blind shots. I like to see where I am going and not aiming for marker posts at the top of the hill. It was a nice sunny day and in good condition but too many holes in a small area of land. According to one girl I spoke to, it is being rearranged this winter.
