The course is now £60 for a weekend round which is too much for the standard of the course in my opinion but they do take 2-fore-1 vouchers at the weekends so there is no need to pay £60. Visitors can just turn up at weekends as no booking is allowed for visitors but the course was not very busy when I played (probably because I played early on Captains day so maybe people were starting later than normal).
A good fry up in the friendly clubhouse finished off a good morning. Would go back but only armed with a 2-fore-1 voucher!

Worth a visit
First time playing Pavenham since mid 2017. Course is only a few miles from me, and used to be a regular venue when I was playing various County events. Whether they host many County events, I don't know, but the course is still fairly busy, and seems to have lots of members who do not like to let faster groups through. Yet again, I was in a 2 ball, following a 4 ball, and the only way we got through was when they all (4 ladies) went to use the loo after 9 holes, so we took the opportunity to pass them.Course was looking good, very green after all the rain, but this also meant there was lots of clumps of cut grass lying around, which meant wayward drives occasionally took some finding. Greens have been worked on over the 6 years since I last played here, so that the slopes are not so ridiculous. It also helped that they were slower than usual, although still an acceptable pace. Various winter tees have been added (usually to the side of the grass tees), which has meant the removal of a number of trees which otherwise were ?in the way?. Generally the course was a lot tidier than previously, with paths and bridges having been worked on.
The only downside when we played was that because of a lot of rain in previous weeks, there were a number of areas of standing water, and therefore lots of flying insects. We seemed to be continuously surrounded by gnats!
The bar was quite quiet when we were there. Prices seemed about usual for a golf club, and my playing partner?s wife (who joined us after) was quite impressed not only with the prices, but also the food on offer.

Good course but slow play.
Very busy in the mornings. Parkland course with holes in all compass directions. Testing par threes. Pace of play makes it difficult for elderly.Reviewer Rating

Worth a visit.
Several years since I was a corporate member here. The course condition has improved and the new plantings will improve it further. A challenging course for the mid handicapper. Fast greens, beautifully manicured. Sculpted fairways. Overall a great place for a walk.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 96 Handicap: 17.4)

Bueatiful kept course
Played this course on 29/05/2021. Course was in excellent condition, with greens and fairways neatly cut. Play quite regularly here and would highly recommend even if some of the greens are quite difficult. Staff are always exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Only downside is it gets quite busy and so can sometimes be a bit slow.(Round played: May 2021 - Score: 98 Handicap: 19.9)

Course changes seal of approval
During lockdown changes have been made to the course. The 10th and 11th have seen the biggest changes, with the old tee reopened on the 10th providing a new angle to the fairway through trees and over a pond. 2 new fairway bunkers and 2 new greenside bunkers add to the challenge. The 11th has 3 new bunkers on what was already a strong par 3. A new winter tee for the par 3 8th has also been added, completely changing the hole. All this at what is one of the friendliest clubs around.Reviewer Rating

Great test of putting
They say if you can putt here you can putt anywhere and that always holds true. Target the correct side of the pin and you will be happy to stroke your putt. Wrong side and the yips comes a knocking. Course is always improving as more tees have been relaid and new bridges added.Reviewer Rating
