What The Club Says
The course combines more than 80 years of mature woodland and undulating landscape with the attention to detail achieved by only the best quality courses. The standard of the upkeep, in all seasons and weathers, has made this a connoisseurs' course. Each hole is given its own name - a reminder of the heritage of the club. The most challenging of all is the 15th, The Waafery. Others such as the Blasted Ash, May Tree, Little Pastures and The Spinney paint a picture of the lush, parkland setting. Beware of the brook that meanders through the 7th, 10th, 11th and The Waafery. It is one of the surprises hidden in this jewel of a course.

Good course and venue
Played in the Bedfordshire County Senior Championships for 2024. Course was set up well, but with some difficult pins as you would expect. Roasting hot day, and everything running further than usual. Greens were quite hard, so not easy to stop a ball on them. The bunkers leave a little to be desired, as some have dark 'builders sand' in them and others have been changed over to whiter, softer sand. According to a member we spoke to; they intend to change all of the bunkers, but this will be a long and expensive procedure.
Strange to play one green (13th) which had a drain in the middle of it. It just goes to show how wet things can get during Winter!
As food was included with our package, I can't comment on cost, but the quality was very good - best steak pie I've had in a long time. Although I last played here in 2017 in the same comp, It always feels like once you've played it; it's easy to remember where the dangers are and so hopefully avoid them. The greens are definitely it's greatest defence, because it's not overly long or hard to negotiate. Straighter drivers will score well here.

Enjoyable
Played here for the first time as part of captains day from Chalgrave manor. From the moment we got on the first tee I thought this could be good. Great work on tee boxes, fairways and greens all were impeccable in my opinion. Even had a complimentary Ice cream halfway round. I?d recommend playing here and look forward to our return.Reviewer Rating

Another great course
Played here a few times now and found it to be a very nice undulating course with some testing holes. Conditions are excellent and the welcoming hut can be visited twice on your round for tasty snacks and drinksWe will return
