great course

splendid in every aspect
My favourite course, very tough but fair, good shots are rarely punished by a bad bounce or running off fairways. Excellent practice facilities, the best in the East Midlands by some distance.(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 14.3)

A good course which is fairly wide and relatively forgiving on most holes. A very good hotel, bars, restaurant and driving range which includes a golf academy.

Great golf friendly course
Appart from scenic, it is also a very well kept golffriendly open course. Greens are in good condition. Layout really a good challenge.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 85 Handicap: 17)

The course was in excellent condition. The wispy grass has been left to grow to around 9 inches high, straight shots off the T are a must on most of the holes. A course well worth playing and great value for money. You may even get to see the deer that live in the woodlands and they are often seen out on the course.

Bunkers need proper sand , even and of sufficient depth that you are not hitting off the clay bedrock, currently the sand is poor builders sand and contain stones bigger than ice cubes, recommend GUR and play from behind bunker, course better when properly trimmed but mostly in good condition
