Tough Mudder
Absolute quagmire! Should not have been open.On face value a good set up but nothing more than converted farmers fields.I couldn’t face cleaning my shoes & trolley as they are absolutely caked in mud.
Never again.

Morley Hayes, Manor Course
Played here many times and have enjoyed the round on most occasions, the course is always well maintained even during periods of bad weather. Some hole require the correct club selection in order to score well.
My only criticism/gripe is the bunkers, basically they were terrible, seemed to consist of builders sand which contained lots of grit and small stones, and there was literally only about 2 inches of playable sand/grit on the surface

Unplayable in places
This course seems to suffer from a wet period more than most. The fairways were sodden, the rough was marsh-like in places. No evidence of drainage on the "championship" course. Greens wet but playable and pitted with pitchmarks - a sign of a hotel courseWith this being a hotel course there must be pressure to keep it open in all weathers. Most courses would be closed. No signage indicating preferred lies, no trollies etc
Will be back in the spring/summer

tough
absolutely great place to play golf, a nine hole course, a championship 18 hole course, fantastic practice facilities and range. Three good restaurants. course is excellent but recently the greens and the tee boxes have been a bit shoddy if I'm honest. £34 is a bit much when the greens are super slow and you have to find a decent place on the tee box to tee up.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 87 Handicap: 14.2)

Shouldnt be open
Fell sorry for people paying ?30, its basically a bog. Greens are shocking even for this time of year. Pitch marks not repaired and foot prints everywhere. Literally unputtable. Balls plugging in fairways. Course should be closed.Reviewer Rating

Worth it on a discount
Got this on reduced green fees.Fairways and greens in great condition with ditches and ponds aplenty.
Forgiving off most tees. A good course to try out the dusty driver. Most par 4s were long, and the par 3s lacked interest.
To me it had the standard corporate hotel course feel to it but it does have a few picturesque approaches to some holes.
The greenkeepers were very friendly, esp. the one we almost hit ! He found our ball and one extra.
Overall a pleasant enough round, but the course did not "excite" me.
Would probably return nonetheless on the discount

A great course to visit
We have had a lot of rain this past few days so the course was as you would expect wet ! that said the fairways were in great condition even when you consider the ground staff are ariating all the fairways, the greens as usual were perfect and in great condition, I have said this many times in my reports for this golf club "the ground staff are amazing and keep this course in superb condition a credit to all of them.(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 97 Handicap: 23.5)
