Still damp in places
Course and greens in good condition apart from a few damp patches. Much drier than expected after a considerable amount of rain recently.Reviewer Rating

Just a shame the bar is closed when you get off the golf course about 17:00

Nice to be back.
Course looking good in the grey cold weather. Frost helps as not wet but you can see that it will be. Green quite hard but playing slow. A couple of divots from shots but not mine.Bunkers very playable and tee boxes in good shape. Overall not bad for this time of year.Reviewer Rating

Great Fairways
Played the course for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised. Quite uniquely this summer the fairways are lush and actually have some spring in them. The layout of the course is interesting and the greens are a good pace although that probably varies day to day. The course is probably suitable for all levels of golfer but it’s slope of under 120 is probably a bit low so don’t expect to tame it.Reviewer Rating

In need of a cut but very nice otherwise
Course was looking lush. Tees were green, fairways were defined and greens looked good but a tad slow. Quite a lot of seed is starting to show. However on the fairway and in 1st cut of rough the ball sat up nicely and so some good contact was available.Reviewer Rating

Mayhem on the 10th
Was a return visit to Mid Sussex, I understand they have been struggling with staff shortages but felt the course was not as well presented as just after the 1st covid lockdown.Bunkers seemed to be missing a lot of sand, not that I visited many.
Then whilst putting out on the ninth a divoting work party strolled by and proceeded to the 10th fairway were they stood around for almost 5 mins, then started work whilst we were left waiting to tee off. Then they didn't really move out of the landing zone, so we rushed our shots to get out of their way. What was more annoying was they didn't even acknowledge or apologise for interrupting our game.
Won't be back for a while!!

Considering the rain course has drained really well
Course in good condition, only bunkers let it down but what do you expect after the rains. No standing water and slightly lush everywhere in cluding greens. Having said that they still were true to the slopes.(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 90 Handicap: 15.7)

Mid Sussex
Flattish course but quite challenging. The greens are not all flat and provide a good test of putting. Challenging rough on most holes so need to keep straight. In good condition.Reviewer Rating

Testing good course
A lovely course and well maintained, which it should be for ?40 a round. Why has it got expensive to play golf again. ?40 for a mid week round at most golf clubs now is going back to the bad old days of golf when they priced people out of the game and wondered why they were loosing money.Reviewer Rating

Missed Opportunity
This course is always in reasonably good condition, I wouldn't say it's excellent but for me they don't seem to have really done any work during the lockdown period so it's no different to any other time which a lot of courses have chosen to adapt/repair etc and benefitted from that, Mid Sussex is popular and you have to wonder if that's more to do with the decline in courses in the local area than the club itself.Reviewer Rating
