Midweek afternoon two ball
First off important to say I changed tee time twice due to weather and personal circumstances. You can't do it online so dealt with them directly, very accommodating, easy sorted.Value for money for sure, tee boxes and greens are excellent but the fairways are bare, not easy to maintain given the summer we've had and tbh no worse than courses you'd pay double or more for. They've tried to therefore pay attention to greens ehixh are as decent as anywhere and better than most.
Course itself is good as a challenge.

Great greens. Non existent fairways. Shit bunkers.
Having cut my teeth as a youngster on this course, I was so looking forward to playing it once again after a recent 5 year hiatus from golf. As usual, the greens were in good shape. As we're the fringes. Other than that, what a massive disappointment! Appreciate it's been dry, but the fairways were non existent. A couple of greenside bunkers were OK, the rest had a lack of sand and an abundance of stones. For £53, including a bacon roll and coffee, there must be better courses locally to play!Reviewer Rating

Great course
Nice and convenient to get to on foot for those staying in local hotels in Bournemouth. Was easy to book online and greens were excellent. Many interesting holes especially the par 3s and also the longer 14th hole was a beauty. Pro was very friendly and made me feel very welcome. Would recommend a visit here for those staying in the areaReviewer Rating

There are dog walkers but most are considerate. Beautifully maintained greens... Take extra golfballs.

Good winter course
Green fee is far more realistic in winter as Summer fees are high.Course was in good order and the greens had good speed and played well.
No temp tees or greens when I played

Beware the dog walkers
Old Municipal course which, living locally, has become very expensive especially in the summer. I'm hoping this was due to covid but the price they ask and then you still have to contend with the dog walkers. Sorry guys but the course doesn't warrant what you are asking.Reviewer Rating

Umm!
Not my favourite course. There are a lot of footpaths going all over the course with dog walkers having priority. One or two of the holes were a bit "Micky Mouse"Reviewer Rating

Enjoyable but tight tree lined course
Really enjoyed playing here on Saturday afternoon. Fairly short but quite tight on a number of holes, with pine trees lining almost every hole making it visually attractive. Greens in good shape and fairways in good condition for the time of year and price, much greener & grassier than anywhere I've played for weeks. Par 3s a highlight, and some good par 4s through the trees. Only saw 3 other groups of golfers, so pretty much had the place to myself. A fair few dog walkers and runners but not a problem. I don't live locally (visiting the in-laws) but already looking forward to returning.Reviewer Rating

The buggy hire is very expensive, but necessary for the hilliness of the course.
The practice range overlaps one hole, which can make finding your ball quite hard, not to mention puts you at risk of being hit.

Absolutely love this course and a superb venue for a weekend away being so close to Bournemouth, however, the condition of the fairways is a concern, we had to use preferred lies the whole weekend with many of them bare. Would love to know if the club are addressing this? Because the greens, the course layout, clubhouse, gym, pool and bar are so good it would not stop us from returning but it is a bit of a shame to see the fairways in such a mess.Reviewer Rating

Worth a go
Tees and greens are in very good condition, fairways are still patchy and a ball on the fairway does not garantee a good lie(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 84 Handicap: 13.4)
