Great course
Staff very polite breakfast was great the course is brilliant a fantastic lay out but the greens r crap very slow the ball was bobbing all over the place(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 81 Handicap: 7.4)

Friendly reception. Very good condition. Great greens. Practice area has the usual nets with enough balls. Chipping area also in a very handy location - next to the nets. Driving range a long way away from clubhouse and first Tee. Had a very good light lunch. Will do it again

Course in very good condition for time of year ,greens excellent true and relatively fast all in all good value for money.

Well worth visiting, par 3's need thinking about hitting across gorges, not as hilly as you would think, only last few holes.

First time to the course and it's a good challenge both in terms of course and walking! The greens were in the process of being treated in preparation for the upcoming months so were a bit wobbly but that's understandable. Played with a member so only paid ?10 which was fantastic

Lovely course on the edge of the peak district in Derbyshire. As you would expect there are a few hills to get up and down but nothing too over the top.Set in a fantastic part of the country the course is well laid out and well maintained with impeccable greens and course conditioning.
When I played in late July the course really was a joy to play with true fast greens. Around the green did catch me out a few times with the off green/fairway cut providing for some tricky lies.
Luckily I played with someone who knew their way around but there were a few tees and greens in close proximity which could catch visitors out and having inside knowledge helps with a few shots which are very close to tee boxes notably on the 8th/9th and the 13th, 14th & 15th.
Course well worth playing.

Matlock is a good and interesting course, well kept with generous fairways and even greens. Friendly and good value if playing with a member. Clubhouse was average with very friendly staff and good service.
