Meon Valley Hotel and Country Club is set in over 225 acres of glorious Hampshire countryside and surrounded by unspoilt villages and ancient woodlands. Guests can fine dine in the Treetops Restaurant or enjoy the less formal atmosphere of the Long Weekend Café Bar. Meon is a great play to stay and has 2 courses. The hotel has just be refurbished, and the facilities are first class. Both courses are tough. The 9 hole offers a fun challenge, and the main Meon course, plays 6097 off the yellows, a very good test into the wind. The course has an excellent balance of ditches, water, bunkers and hazards, and they like their dog legs! First class place, and would recommend a round. Worth staying, to get the guest rates, as £45 in the Summer may be a bit steep, but still a good place to play. Greens are fast, even in winter, and good condition.Reviewer Rating

Lovely course
Played the full 18 hole for the first time. Lovely course, wide, tree lined fairways, seldom see golfers on neighbouring fairways as so well laid out, mainly flat, portaloo on the 12th kept in ok condition. Some tricky holes with water and well placed bunkers. Most holes are a dog leg, one or two it’s impossible to see where your ball lands. Only issue is that the golf restaurant didn’t open until 10, that’s late for us early golfers that like a coffee and bacon roll before we start.Reviewer Rating

3 days of golf. Two courses. Championship 18 hole and Valley 9 hole. Course and golf staff excellent. Championship course in great condition and great layout. Some challenging holes. Valley course much better than expected and a bit tighter than championship. Tee boxes a bit tired! Greens good. Hotel needs a good seeing to! Rooms ok but lack of staff very problematic. Very busy weekend but 1 bar/restaurant and 2 staff.Reviewer Rating

Good course worth a visit.
Even though Britannia have taken over the hotel. The golf course is still kept in excellent nick. Both the manor and valley course are very good. Sadly the hotel is in poor nick compared to when it was owned by Marriott.Reviewer Rating
