No where near as good as it used to be.

Played here a bit a few years go and have been out the game for while, decided to have a quick 9 holes after work in the week and now i wished i haddnt. The fairways were rough and om some of the holes were dug up. Half the greens were brown and neglected, really disappointed considering how nice it used to be.

Driving range-all the rubber tees broken. No staff to ask. Children playing in bunkers on hole 9. Temp greens when there was no need. Dog walkers think they come first, off the lead dogs chasing golf balls

Do not spend a single penny on this course, very poorly maintained. The greens are the worst I have ever come across in my life. Tee boxes rock solid and with no grass on. Also took me a good 3 hours just to play 9 holes, the members don't seem to understand etiquette or even how to play the game.

Far from a "championship course".

A VERY wet course. Clear malpractice in that the trees have been allowed to completely overgrow the course and prevent any chance of drying out but I suppose the tourist golfer tends to confuse that with maturity. Not one for the purist.

Nice course but.......

Actually this is a very good track. Lots of interest, but you definitely need to know your way round to score well. Loads of, possibly too many, doglegs in either direction. Really good greens.
Shame the (newish) hotel owners (Britannia Group) don't seem to want their guests to enjoy themselves. Poor service, overpriced food, absentee management and a general lack of attentiveness.

Play golf but avoid the Catering & do not stay

No problems with the golf course BUT...
Not a pleasant experience once off the course.
No food before 5 pm
Food was plain
People kept waiting until after midnight for their booked rooms as 'still being cleaned'
Poor staff attitude

Pleasant Golf, Awful Hotel

The course was enjoyable with some precision shots needed.
However the Hotel was dreadful, the bar did not open until 6pm and you could not get any drinks at all before then. The pool is also closed and the pro shop also closes at 5pm so you can't even get a drink from there. The staff were few and far between. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Horrendous Hotel

Course is a nice parkland layout with one or two interesting holes. Good for a group but don’t stay currently as the facilities in the hotel are non existent. Couldn’t even get a drink after our round.
