What the club says: The club, with its two fine courses, has been established for some time as a leading golf venue, and is well loved for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The Meon Course is the Championship 18 hole course measuring 6,520 yards with a SSS of 71. The Valley course is the beautiful 9 hole course with USGA specification greens.

Good Course
Very nice Course in good shape tooGreens superb although tee boxes could be levelled out a bit better
Nice day out and will definitely recommend
Hotel service and good disappointing though… few of us picked up a degree of food poisoning after a mediocre dinner
Staff could not be bothered to serve sandwiches or lunch before our round on Saturday and no halfway house open either. Not great

Nice course but.......
Actually this is a very good track. Lots of interest, but you definitely need to know your way round to score well. Loads of, possibly too many, doglegs in either direction. Really good greens.Shame the (newish) hotel owners (Britannia Group) don't seem to want their guests to enjoy themselves. Poor service, overpriced food, absentee management and a general lack of attentiveness.

Good course worth a visit.
Even though Britannia have taken over the hotel. The golf course is still kept in excellent nick. Both the manor and valley course are very good. Sadly the hotel is in poor nick compared to when it was owned by Marriott.Reviewer Rating

Play golf but avoid the Catering & do not stay
No problems with the golf course BUT...Not a pleasant experience once off the course.
No food before 5 pm
Food was plain
People kept waiting until after midnight for their booked rooms as 'still being cleaned'
Poor staff attitude

Our group of 14 had a good deal mid Sept 20 for £69 for 2 rounds, dinner, bed & breakfast. Very nice course - although difficult. Some memorable holes. Bar with plenty of outside seating by the 18th green. Large, pleasant hotel rooms. The food we had was good. All in all an enjoyable couple of days.Reviewer Rating

Value for money
Paid ?69 for 2 rounds of golf ,dinner , bed and breakfast. A real bargain. Decent enough course and we enjoyed the rounds at it. A bit of TLC and it would greatly improve. Nice friendly staff helped make it a pleasant trip.Reviewer Rating

Pleasant Golf, Awful Hotel
The course was enjoyable with some precision shots needed. However the Hotel was dreadful, the bar did not open until 6pm and you could not get any drinks at all before then. The pool is also closed and the pro shop also closes at 5pm so you can't even get a drink from there. The staff were few and far between. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Horrendous Hotel
Course is a nice parkland layout with one or two interesting holes. Good for a group but don’t stay currently as the facilities in the hotel are non existent. Couldn’t even get a drink after our round.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 17.2)

Brilliant course
Very good course well maintained, because of cov19 the facilities were not open which was very annoying. Had to travel 3 miles for decent food and drink.????????(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 16.1)
