While the course is in good condition and well preserved, by the time the back nine came along I was bored stiff of it. Not enough character of the land or use of features to stop remembering the holes as each the same. It was extremely busy as well which I am not sure is common or not. On the plus side, it would be an ideal course for a regular player to go with a beginner as it is very difficult to lose balls on and the holes are pretty much all straight.

Course in very good condition. Greens good, fairways lovely and tees very good. But the layout is uninspiring. The middle section is very dull with too many holes of similar length going up in one direction and back the next. Enjoyed holes 3, 5, 11, 12 and 17 because they stand out a bit. 18 is a tough finishing par 4. The course is easy walking. Rough more of a test than trees. On most holes you have to be a fair distance off line for trees to come into play. I won't rush back due to other options nearby.

here with, barnhill tavern golf section,from 8 o,clock till,9.30 at night we where treated like golf kings, fab golf, food and hospitality,course was the best i,ve played this year, and i,ve played abroad twice in may, over all a fantastic experience.thankyou all at the gowf club,

Great golf course and very challenging if not straight off the tee. Early in the season so greens were slow but they will be faster once the weather improves and they are cut back.
