WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Played here a little while back. I had booked as a change from my membership club at the time Crondon Park. We had been booked in for an afternoon round. When going into pay the young guy at the desk asked us for our handicap, we do not have an official handicap and that had not been mentioned when we booked. The young guy didn't believe us and contacted someone else by phone. After explaining that we hadn't been asked and what the person sounded like, he begrudgingly agreed to let us play! His attitude was terrible, I have never felt so unwelcome at a golf course before. The course is badly signed and the cut around the green was terrible. Probably the worst golf course in Essex. I recommend not to play there, they don't deserve your business.

Quite easy, my best ever score on this course, only one par five but still quite challenging, course kept in very good condition, facilities closed due to covid

Good but could do much better

Course as always very scenic, but the fairway grass is, all too often, too long, and covered in a small white flower which makes finding a ball on the fairway occasionally very difficult (and on two occasions, impossible!).No semi rough either. In addition there remain a lot of small deep drainage channels in which balls can be lost, trolleys stopped dead in their tracks and, more worryingly, ankles turned. They need filling with gravel. There are some good holes here, don't get me wrong, and greens are excellent , but the course maintenance needs to step up.

Rayleigh club

Nice course ideal to improve your mid iron and short iron shots. Some tricky holes and some tight spots. Will be playing again, nice course and nice staff

Good course, well maintained, drainage ditches are everywhere however and can be quite risky to play around

Small but nicely formed

It's an OK course that makes you think on most holes. The ?20 green fee is just
about right in these current times but certainly no more. Due to its yardage
circa 4500 yards it means you can get round quickly and a good course to
sharpen up your game. The 6 minute intervals were too short as there was
a bit of bunching.

Very challenging

The East course is interesting and very challenging for all levels, but also very enjoyable with the right mix of difficulties.
