Since the purchase of the new cutters I have never seen either course in better condition or presentation

First time I played the course 24/3/14 played again 26/3/14, the course was in good condition. Credit to the greenstaff, will play again soon.

Very good condition considering the weather, a good mix of holes from both courses with all summer greens in play

Back on the old course for the winter. Totally forgot they were changing so was a nice surprise to play this layout. 4th of November and the staff were cutting greens and fairways. Great winter golf. Played awful but enjoyed the walk!

Wow ! Absolutely superb condition this course is just going from strength to strength . I had not played here in a few years and have found myself back for the 2nd time in 2 weeks . Its that good i ma planning on joining when my current club membership runs out . Friendly staff but its main asset is the layout which is now matched by its condition the greens are a revelation .
If you haven't played it for a while get yourself down , I gurantee you will not be disappointed .

well played the lakes course on Fri 14th June and must say it was in fantastic nick, played the place since it opened and must say this is the best Ive ever seen it, the greens top class so if you want a game get yourself along before the pro tour comes, you will enjoy it, congrats Graham and staff top job, keep it up

The whole facilty at Longhirst has come on massively over the last 2/3 years from the welcome in the shop , the service in the bar and the course the main reason we go . The course has developed so much . Longhirst has always had massive potential due to its challenging layout and many many hazards and it is now starting to realise this potential . This course in my opinion is forward thinking with many initiatives to get youngsters involved in golf which is reflected in its thriving junior section . The whole course is in the best condition i have ever seen it and it is only going to get better . If you haven't played here in a while it is well worth a visit . Well done to the management & staff and keep up the good work

Poor conditions

Long time admirer
Played here loads as a member and non member, year on year the improvements are great. Courses speak for themselves, greens this summer just beautiful. Wildlife stunning and staff very friendly. Only thing i'd say is that clubhouse could do with a freshen up.Reviewer Rating

The course is in good condition and there are lakes you can play around or over. It's just the right length and provides a challenge. The clubhouse is great and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
