What the club says: The course is parkland measuring 6813 yards, par 73, standard scratch 73, and can prove a real test of golf, particularly in windy conditions. All but 3 holes were part of the former opencast coal site. A large number of conifer and deciduous trees and shrubs have been planted which have now matured giving beautiful tree lined fairways. The course demands good straight drives and accurate iron play into tight and bunkered greens.

The facilities include generous practice areas for putting, chipping and bunker shots and a separate practice area for general irons and woods practice. Experienced pro shop staff, excellent catering and a warm welcome awaits you at Bedlingtonshire Golf Club.

Nice course but got stuck behind a very slow members 4 ball who wouldn't let us through. Ruined the round. Slow frustrating play

The Committee, Mark and his staff all made us incredibly welcome. The course was in excellent condition, especially around the trees and in the bunkers!! The greens were true and in superb condition, but challenging and a real test of your green reading skills. Playing off 19 I found this one of the most enjoyable Clubs that I have visited this year. The Clubhouse (and the cake in particular) rounded off a perfect day.

Enjoyable course

Must have played Bedlingtonshire golf course 4 or 5 times this season. Always in great condition and always enjoy a round of golf and glass of wine in the clubhouse.

Mrs

I always love coming to Bedlington. The course is always in lovely condition and a warm welcome is always given both in the Clubhouse and at the Tee where a smartly dressed starter sees you off. Course is well presented and tidy. Great day.

Golf course tp play

From the excellent hospitality in the clubhouse , a very informed pro shop giving useful hints on the greens on the course, to a very well laid out and maintained golf course in great condition, it proved to be a lovely day out playing golf at Bedlington GC.
Thanks for the experience to all concerned.

The course, generally, was first class. A great challenge of golf without being too onerous. Not much to quibble about, but the heavy rough was particularly punitive, some of the tee-boxes were a little chewed up and there were a few "pot-holes" on the paths. Not enough negatives to detract from a very enjoyable day.

First time I’ve played Bedlington Golf Course and I had heard good things, however it far exceeded my expectations, the overall course is fantastic, tremendous layout and in fantastic condition, particularly through and around the greens, a credit to the Green staff and committee.
I will definitely spread the word and come back to play here soon.

Excellent

Having left Bedlington as a member quite a few years ago due to what I considered at the time a poor course (when the council owned the course), I now think Bedlington is a very good test of golf on a an excellent course. The course is well managed by the Management team and Green-staff with the golfers who play there in mind in terms of maintaining a timely round of golf.
The Course is in excellent condition and all staff involved in its development and maintenance should be very proud.
