What the club says: Developed on land where once stood a pit head and it's entire mining community, Blyth has matured and developed into a tree-lined par 72, parkland course - but don't be fooled by its gently undulating character. Its first six holes are a test for any golfer. Negotiate them without dropping too many shots and you'll be set up for a good score.

But beware - there are some cunning water hazards on 9,12,13 and 14 that demand a strong nerve and a sure stroke. They don't call the 13th hole 'Sinkers' for nothing!

This is the best course in the area, without doubt.

The people great too, as is the atmosphere in the clubhouse.

Will not be rushing back.

I once thought this course was ok .

But now they have taken part of it away so builders can put up houses . This has taken all the apeal from the course.

Great course

Played 30/07/19. Up in the N/East visiting the outlaws tried Blyth & wasn't disappointed thanks to members Neville,Peter & Graham who invited me to join them we had a good laugh during the 10 holes they played (thanks guys) .The course was well maintained fairways well defined & the greens tricky & fast. I definitely will play here again & strongly recommend it.

Lovely Course

Great course and really quiet when we played last night. Tight and tree lined with a few doglegs, so course management is needed. Also take a club extra on the par 3's over water! Some crossing over points, so could be tricky if busy, but a nice, well laid out course, and good value for money too.

Nice enough course

A nice course, but pity it is situated on the outskirts of Blyth - not the nicest of towns in Northumberland ! The day I played, the fairways were as good as I have seen them, but often they are very bare, sometimes with bits of coal showing, as very thin top soil ! Clubhouse welcoming, with an average choice of food.

Decent

The course was in good conversation condition, greens played well and fairways well looked after. The course lacks the challenge of some in the local area but was a decent round. The rough is playable, the trees are well placed lining most fairways. Nice round for a budget course; personally prefer tynemouth (generally cheaper) and Arcot Hall (same price point, better course layout).
