Really well looked after golf course. As it hosts the Euro Pro Tour event you'd expect it to be!Some real quirky fun holes and some amazing views during the middle of the round.
Greens and fairways were in great condition.
The wind can pick up and bite which can pose a test.
Its not the tightest of courses so will be a nice and enjoyable round for any golfer of any ability.

Played here for the first time in a Civil Service comp. Lovely course. Several long par 4's which made it difficult to score well but overall a fair test. Many fairways slope left to right so useful to hit a draw if you can. Greens have several slopes and undulations and are relatively rapid. Long walking course but they seem to have plenty of buggies for those that want them.

Excellent as always with some very tough par 4 holes. A good walk, definitely not spoilt by a little white ball!!

Very, very quick greens and rough was a menace! Looked after well in the club house afterwards and accomodated tee times well.

First visit
My first visit to the course which was in very good condition for the time of year and with the amount of rain we have had. The greens were in very good condition and I can't wait to play again in the summer.Reviewer Rating

Revisited after many years with a Society. The course is well laid out and very challenging unfortunately I could not meet the challenge today. My driving was very poor not able to clear many hazards in front of tea box. Good food drink and staff .

The course is immaculate at the moment. the greens and fairways really well cared for. Some tee boxes a bit unlevel but nothing to worry about. Most importantly a really interesting 18 holes which challenge as well on occasion cut you some slack. Great people in the pro shop!

Great Course
Good test of golf, well presented and real variety of holes.Had our Captains away day here and the staff and food were excellent too.
Rough was enough to present a challenge but able to find a ball and play it out
Very highly recommended

Great heathland course
Arguably the best course in Leicestershire, some stunning views, and in great condition for October. A tough challenge if not playing well as front 9 has some tight drives, there's a couple of lovely par 3s and some interesting short par 4s on the back 9. First time I've played here and would definitely recommend it.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 88 Handicap: 11.4)

Great course

Play here every couple of years in same group event. Cracking course in great condition. Long if you don't hit it that far but still playable if you're straight. Nice variety as you go round though the front 9 especially will often leave you with a sideways lie of some description and it pays to draw the ball in most places if you can. Clubhouse and pro shop are both very welcoming. Look forward to heading back in 2 years time.
