What the club says: The course was designed in 1966 by course architect David Tucker and was described by Tony Jacklin during a visit in 1989 as having 'probably the toughest opening three holes in the Midlands'. The greens have been built to USGA specifications and the course is complimented by a clubhouse and professional shop which provides the finest of facilities.

Played in April after prolonged spell of rain. Course was in excellent condition. My playing partners had never played Lingdale and they commented on it being one of the best they had played!

A course for all handicaps
My son has only just taken up golf, I play off 14. We had an afternoon round in windy conditions but at no stage did I feel the course was overwhelming for him......or for that matter me! Nice mix of long par 4\'s, good testing par 3\'s but with more width on the drives than is apparent from the website.\Greens in very good condition, receptive but fairly quick. The putt ran true.....where you hit it.\\Nice bar and patio area made for an enjoyable round. And very good value. I would be very happy to play here again.

Sean G rated 5 out of 5 - Jun 2 2017

Beautiful lush course, very nicely set out in the wooded Leicestershire countryside. Great mix of holes and a joy to play. Beware, there are no specific tee times but there is a ball chute hidden in a bush next to the first tee. Make sure you get a ball in there to get in the queue as members will nip in before you. Lots of older members in large groups so play isn't lightening fast but not too bad.
