Llanymynech Golf Club, Shropshire is an 18 hole, par 70 (6036 yard), private, parkland golf course established in 1933. Home of Ian Woosnam, Llanymynech Golf Club is World Famous for playing two different countries on 1 hole! Great Course, Fantastic Views

A group of 15 played this course and it was a very enjoyable day, the course was in good condition, Greens a bit bumpy from the recent maintenance but still rolled well, staff were very good and bacon rolls on arrival and the one course meal also excellent. The View from the 12th Tee will be hard to beat anywhere in the UK!

Spectacular views

Played this with seven friends on a tour of Wales. This was our 'on the way home' course having played two links courses. All eight of us were impressed with the course, the greens and the views which were spectacular. We were lucky to have a day of blue skies and near 20 degree temperatures. We found the staff friendly and accommodating. We have all said we would be happy to return (but possibly play this course first as it can sap the legs.

A must play

Fantastic course in great condition, can't believe how dry it was considering it was covered in snow just a few days earlier. No two holes are the same and must be some of the best views anywhere in golf.If you have never played it then make the effort to,you won't regret it

One of the most picturesque courses you'll find as it is on top of a hill with almost 360° views.

Accuracy is key

Very interesting challenging and unique course that is situated in Wales but has three holes across the border in England. We played the course in terrible weather conditions - howling wind and driving rain. It it still brought a smile to my face. Not overly long but accuracy off the tee is key to getting round this track anywhere close to your handicap - the greens were fast and true and three putts are easy if you're not careful. Would advise taking a buggy if your not "fit" as it is hilly however - you are rewarded with some stunning views from many of the holes at the highest points.
A good, friendly clubhouse is very welcoming at the end of the day.
Great value for money and look forward to going back one day.
Note : A course planner will help you navigate your way round as there are some blind shots

Quality and Variation

I visited the course for a University golf day. (Liverpool Vs Birmingham) We played a 9 hole warm up and after lunch played the full 18 holes. I found the course in great condition. It has a variety of interesting holes ranging from visible par 3s to blind (from the Tee) par 4s and 5s. The course is physically challenging as it is very hilly. There are buggies for hire but I would advise to book these in advance. Most of the course is in Wales but the border with England runs through the NE corner of the course. In actual fact on the 4th you can Tee off in Wales and put in England. Perhaps the most notable aspect is the views from the later holes / Tee positions. The course is at quite a height and at one point there is a full panoramic which I'm told takes in 5 counties. Well worth a visit.

20 years since my last visit with Hinckley GC, so scanning Golf Empire the spring open AM/AM popped up and @ £15 to enter it was a no brainer.

A warm welcome by this year's captain at sign in and good facilities withg practice bay and practice net available (bring your own balls :-) along with putting green etc.

Course: heavy rain through the week softened up course and made it 100% enjoyable and the greens putted lovely, a real credit to the green staff. boy is this a tough track, but value for money keeping the ball in play! not for the wayward, unless you have unlimited balls.

Bar staff really friendly and excellent food to boot, 100% back soon as it's a real GEM.

Worth the 1hr 30 min drive from Coventry

(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 76 Handicap:8.5) should be better!!
