Home of Ian Woosnam, Llanymynech Golf Club is World Famous for playing two different countries on 1 hole! Yes that's right on our famous 4th hole you tee it up in Wales and putt out in England and only measuring 340 yards off the back tees this par 4 is not as easy as it seems...

Great Location
Llanymynech is a gem of a course situated up on the hills bordering England & Wales. In fact on one hole you tee off in Wales and putt out in England. The views are stunning. The course itself is also very good with every hole having something different about it. And to top it off, everyone is very friendly. Thoroughly recommend it.Reviewer Rating

Played on New Years Eve after a friend?s recommendation . Ridiculous Value at ?25 inc a festive Bap and Chips which were awesome and very much required after ?challenging? weather conditions.Course is lovely ,memorable holes and stunning views which must be even better in Summer.
We were advised by Tom in Pro shop of 2 holes closure and offered to play a further 2 holes to make up the 18-It wasn't required as we all wanted to demolish the festive bap!
Can't wait to return.

Gorgeous Course
There's a trickly narrow, hilly lane to actually get to/from the course, but once you're there you won't be disappointed with what's on offer. The course has some wonderful holes, gorgeous views (cameras at the ready for when you get to the 12th tee), and in particular the back nine has some very intimidating tee shots. There are lots of tree lined fairways, and I also don't remember any especially easy par 3's. Be prepared to do some climbing though, as the course certainly isn't close to flat. It is worth the effort though.
It seemed a little weird using the driving range as part of the 18th fairway, but it's a small range so maybe it doesn't get used much.
Overall, I can't speak highly enough about the course.

Llanymynech G.C
We visited here less than 24 hours after a bout of very heavy and prolonged rain, but the course was in great condition, with no water logging. The tees, fairways and greens were in excellent condition, the greens were surprisingly fast. The clubhouse, although dated, was stocked with a good choice of drinks and the staff were friendly. We didn't eat, so can't comment on that. It is quite a hilly course in places, but the stunning views are worth it.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 22.8)

Quality and Variation
I visited the course for a University golf day. (Liverpool Vs Birmingham) We played a 9 hole warm up and after lunch played the full 18 holes. I found the course in great condition. It has a variety of interesting holes ranging from visible par 3s to blind (from the Tee) par 4s and 5s. The course is physically challenging as it is very hilly. There are buggies for hire but I would advise to book these in advance. Most of the course is in Wales but the border with England runs through the NE corner of the course. In actual fact on the 4th you can Tee off in Wales and put in England. Perhaps the most notable aspect is the views from the later holes / Tee positions. The course is at quite a height and at one point there is a full panoramic which I'm told takes in 5 counties. Well worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

(Round played: May 2015 - Score: 110 Handicap: 25.5)A very tough course. Unique in that it has some holes in England but the clubhouse and majority of them are in Wales. It is situated on a bluff but still has changes of elevation and valleys. The weather closed in on us during the day so we had sun, rain, hailstones and wind. This made the course even tougher!
The course was in good nick but blind shots and the lack of course planners means you may have to play it a few times to appreciate it.
The clubhouse is quaint and changing rooms are small
