Not worth a round
The course was not great. It is looking old and tired and needs investment. The bunkers were awful, it was mud rather than sand. Some of the greens were pretty poor too.Reviewer Rating

Plenty of variation in the holes. Good balance of tricky and 'easier' holes.Greens in good condition.
Some bunkers were a bit too compact.

Nice course
Interesting layout means you have to think about what you're doing and makes this a nice test.Greens were firm and a little bit slow but were very true. Bunkers need a little more sand in them.
That apart the course was in great condition and i really enjoyed it,

Interesting layout and in good condition. My only criticism would be the quality and amount of sand in the bunkers. Definitely need more sand.
Pace of play was good as we caught up a seniors competition and still got round in under 3.5 hours.
Really enjoyed the round and will definitely return.

Well worth a visit
I have played this course quite a few times now, it plays better Spring/Summer/Autumn, quite boggy in winter. Has a driving range for a warm up. The course itself is pretty straight forward, parkland design. In summer take advantage of twilight golf £15 after 4pm, although the bar won't be open when you finish.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 97 Handicap: 23.7)
